And also… Seriously… The bubbly, lighthearted hues; the soft and sparkly pink: it’s such a different color choice than the usual oversaturated, hurtful Beast tones? It speaks so much of an happy ending,, It’s so refreshing to see, so therapeutic to look at. The pastel shades of Akutagawa’s coat and especially of Atsushi’s hair! The whole safe and hopeful atmosphere this illustration has! Beast Atsushi’s cheerful and almost confident smile which means //so much// for his character and for how he was implied to heal by the last Beast chapter… Anyways congratulations Beast sskk on being married

Also. The way Akutagawa is looking down, and Atsushi looking up?? How it reflects Akutagawa becoming more humble, mature, reasonable, and Atsushi now looking forward to a bright future, leaving the pain and abuse behind once and for all? And furthermore: Akutagawa looking at the present in his hands timidly, pondering on it and looking almost indecisive - which again is such a huge thing for him to now be meditating over it, the character who started off so impulsive and inconsiderate! -, seemingly avoiding to look at the person in front of him; how he’s mirrored by Atsushi, who started off tormented and scared, here looking straight in front of him, fearless and optimistic??? Also the chocolate they’re holding is dedicated to each other and they’re in love

Not to sound completely crazy but. this is a promotional postcard gifted to celebrate the reprint of all four volumes of the Beast manga, and the colors of the illustration match the dominant colors of the four manga covers. That might explain why it’s so exceptionally colorful compared to other Hoshikawa illustration, as well as reaffirming the happy, colourful ending Akutagawa and Atsushi got and make all the story elements come together in harmony for its conclusion.
