I headcanon that Eridians, tho fast sprinters, haven’t evolved to be long distance runners because of their cardiovascular system. So seeing a human run easily for more than a couple of minutes freaks them out.

Simon being depicted as aggressive/mentally ill/brooding or with personality issues does not directly negate his ability to be goofy, seek good attention and be polite, btw.

The whole point of his character is that he is nuanced. He has conflicting personality traits on purpose.

So when I see people on here complain about others depicting Simon as "too mean", or even "too nice", I simply laugh because the fact of the matter is that he could be either of those things.

He walks that line of humanity, and I think that makes all this so much more interesting.

The thing about knowing people for a while is that they know about the eras you're profoundly embarrassed by.

I can see Grace cringing at his past self (of embarrassment but also of I-was-a-meanie-beanie-in-academia). He's all, "Why did you like me?" To Simon.

Simon, without fail, has loved/lusted for all of these Graces though.

Oh 100% Simon is gripping his own thighs daydreaming about “meanie-beanie in academia” Grace. One day he just asks Grace to be mean to him but Grace is like “I can’t do that, moonlight.”

I've been really craving a problematic bloodymary age gap.

Like, Grace is 40ish and Simon is 20ish.

Grace is trying to be SO rational. He is trying to be so kind and logical about pushing Simon away.

Simon is like a dog with a bone though.

(Grace: I'd already graduated high school by the time you were born. Simon: Can you use your teacher voice one me?
