Sabriel Coloring Book Artist Submissions Open!

Artist submissions for the Sabriel Coloring Book are officially open! Below you’ll find a master post of information.

What is this project?

Just what it says on the tin. This project, at the time of final posting, will be a collection of Sabriel (Sam Winchester/Gabriel from Supernatural) illustrations, in the form of black and white line art drawings, compiled in a digital coloring book format. The finished product will likely be uploaded and distributed (for free, obviously) through google drive, but that has yet to be confirmed.

How does it work?

I’ve decided that the easiest way to organize this is to categorize illustrations into three sections: tropes (i.e. height difference, hand holding, angst, etc.), AUs ( i.e. coffee shop!AU, Reverse Verse!AU, etc.) and other (if your illustration depicts the current SPN canon verse, or anything ranging from a simple sabriel illustration with no particular category, this is the option for you). This allows us to keep each page as diverse as possible, and not run into a scenario of something like ten coffee shop!AU pages  and only one non-AU page.   Artists who are interested in participating can fill out the form here. Sign ups are open until March 2nd, 2019. There is no limit on the number of artists who can participate.

Can I submit work I have already done to be included in this? Or do I have to draw something new completely?

It is best to assume that artists should be creating new illustrations for the purposes of this book. This is a product of collaboration, and this rule makes the final product that much more rewarding!

The schedule for creating this book is as follows:

March 2nd: Artist signups close.

March 15th: Rough drafts due! This serves as a way for me to get a better idea of how I plan to organize the book as a whole, and to ensure things are running smoothly.

March 30th: Final drafts due! By this time, each artist will submit their completed work (saved as a .png file) either to this tumblr, or to me through email at [email protected].

April 2nd: The Sabriel Coloring Book will be posted in its entirety!
