You know what, yeah, I’ve reached that point where I can look back and honestly say it wasn’t worth it. You weren’t worth all of my time, all of my heart. All of the good parts of me...I gave them to you, and in exchange I took your bad. Yeah, when it’s late at night and I can’t sleep, I sorta remind myself of you. This post isn’t going to tell you what you want to hear, but maybe what you need to.

You’re going to hurt. There will be days where you really feel like you might not make it through. Understand this, every obstacle you went through, every tear you cry alone, the nights where you wish you could sleep, but your mind won’t stop thinking about the shit that’s eating you up...it’s all building you to be the person you’re going to need to be. Nobody is strong like you are, life’s lessons give you thick skin in return. You’re going to need it. No, life will not all of a sudden be easy just because it’s been hard. You’re going to forever have the days where you want to give up. What makes the difference is when you choose not to. You are in charge of your life. You make your decisions, and you have to live with them. Never regret your pain, or your past. I know you have days that turn into weeks that feel like they’re never going to end and it can’t get much worse. Trust that it can get a lot worse, but you yourself have to make the decision to not give up, you’ve come too far. You’ve endured too much to give up now. One day you’ll speak your wisdom to someone who’s really going to need it, infact you probably do it all the time. Without your wounds, you wouldn’t be able to offer your wisdom. Be proud of how far you’ve come, and how far you will go.

Fuck you. Stop trying to tell me you hope I’m doing well, or that I’m living my best life. Stop checking up on me like you owe me some sort of favor. I know guilt knocks on your door every morning, and paces your mind at night. Nobody will love you like did, I’m sorry if it sounds shallow. I’m at ease knowing you’ll forever be haunted by the memory of me. Our shadows on your bedroom walls..my laugh, my fingertips across your skin...all of it. Every person you love will almost have to know me, to know you. I am forever a part of you. The could’ve been. Truth be told, I know you lay in bed at night and your heart aches so deeply it makes you sick. I have grown so far from you, you’ll never have the capacity to reach me. You must love and value what you have while you have the capability of doing so. Otherwise, you will forever regret what is now out of your hands...
