Welcome to my blog where you will find different art and design techniques I have done, as well as famous designers' work and quotes that have inspired me.  I am a student at Bucks New University studying graphic design and my ambition is to become a graphic designer and lectutuer. I first came across graphic design in 6th form, curious about the design industry but not knowing anything about Adobe software, camera techniques or design in general. Ever since then the industry has opened my eyes to all sorts of different art and design theories and techniques; I have learnt and developed many skills since. This blog shows my journey and progress into Graphic Design.

Rob Ryan was born in 1962 in Akrotiri, Cyprus. He studied Fine Art at Trent Polytechnic and at the Royal College of Art in London where he specialised in Printmaking.Although he views himself first and always as a fine artist, his intricate paper cut work adapts itself readily to many other mediums including ceramics, textiles, home wares and even jewellery.Over the years, he has collaborated with the likes of Paul Smith, Liberty of London, Tatty Devine and Vogue.His work often consists of whimsical figures paired with sentimental, grave, honest and occasionally humorous pieces of writing which he admits are autobiographical.Rob has exhibited widely across the UK and internationally and has written and illustrated several books, ‘This Is For You’, ‘A Sky Full Of Kindness’ and most recently a trilogy, ‘The Invisible Kingdom’, ‘The Kingdom Revealed’ and ‘The Invincible Kingdom’.

Rob Ryan is an artist who concentrates on cutting out with a scalpel. His idea of typography and image all done in one cut is what i like about his work. The simplicity of colours also contrasts with the background making his art work very appealing to the eye.
