Ok so this is gonna be weird of me to post a thing when I wasn’t here from start to finish, but I’ve come to love you all, whether we spoke tons or merely saw each other’s posts on the dash, and I just wanna say a couple of things bc of that.

Let me start with saying that I’m so so SO sorry to anyone who never got messages back from me bc that’s been a struggle and it was never my intention to seem neglectful or whatever the word I’m trying to think of is. And same goes for my difficulty with replying on Sage, but also on Rena and Sloane when they existed bc breathing room’s been impossible for months now and that caused so many issues with my activity to give myself an hour or two (or five smh) to just rest or not think, then being busy all over again but enough of the rambling, this isn’t all that I want to talk about I promise lmao!

To anyone that I had a connection for Sage with, whether we started it or not or didn’t make it as strong as we likely desired, thank you for helping me develop Sage’s background a little more and for putting up with my annoying self in my posts AND messages haha! But seriously, thank you so much for just plotting with me.

To anyone who didn’t have a plot with Sage, whether our charries got to converse or we did or neither happened, I loved seeing you on the dash, getting to know you or simply chatting with you, you’re all unbelievably talented writers and I’ve enjoyed seeing your characters grow or just exist bc lbr, they’re all cuties. You’re one of the best groups I’ve rped with because of the diversity of the muses here and because of you in general, so thank you for letting me be able to say that this was a great group.

And lastly, to Igor, Dakota and Jamee, you did an amazing job admining (??) this rp and I couldn’t be more glad that a certain someone told me that this was up and running, otherwise I’d probably be kicking myself for missing out on this. Thank you so so much for all that you’ve done, I know for a fact that it didn’t go unappreciated by a soul here.

Dear little Sage,

God, everything you’ll end up doing in your life will take you so far. Remember how Mom used to say that perseverance is your key to success, fulfillment and happiness? She still preaches it, mostly to Joss, but she was more than correct. I know you’ve always been determined, but hearing that further ignites your passion, your drive to achieve, every time you hear it. Maybe that’s why everything worked out, maybe that’s why you’ll become lucky.

There’s a lot that you have yet to understand, you may think, you little genius you, that you know plenty at this point in time, but there’s so much that you have left to learn. You’ll be the smartest kid in your early years of school, but you’ll also be among the shyest and most awkward children there. It’s something that you’ll learn to accept, but also decide to change about yourself. You won’t be the most outgoing, only when you want to help someone or if you’re in the presence of Cam and your friends, but later on, you’ll be more open with people. You won’t be the most appreciated, no one ever is, but children can be cruel when you don’t fit into elementary school’s social criteria. Never take it to heart, it may hurt when people walk over you or treat you as inferior for your naïveté, but you’ll grow metaphorically thicker skin while still being kind to those around you. You won’t be the most tormenting, maybe that’s why some kids will gravitate towards you despite being an outsider, because you respect boundaries, because you can be immature like most children and still be calm. You’ll never really know what it is, but you will know that the friends you make then will continue to be close to you. Some won’t be as close as you’ll wish when you grow up, but you’ll still have them there, and they’ll always have you.

You won’t be the most exceptional despite the move to high school when you’re still so young, you won’t be the whole package that they depict the brain to be in some teen movies. You can’t play many sports, student council will be too intimidating and the only extracurriculars you’ll feel comfortable with consist of people who share AP classes with you. It won’t be so bad, in fact, it’ll be the perfect fit. Now, you won’t be the most displaced. In spite of everything, you’ll have friends in varied places, most sharing your intellect, but others sharing your positive attitude, your kindness or they will simply get along with you. Not everyone will be your friend, but it’ll never be something that you’ll fret over as long as your companions exist, as long as they’re there. It also won’t matter that the “popular” kids won’t be in your circle of friends, though you already knew that. You won’t be prom queen, or homecoming queen, or anything with a title besides “most likely to succeed” or “first place” in whatever academic or music competition you find yourself being involved in. You also won’t have that epic teen romance high school supposedly promises, not that you’ll care since it won’t be your primary focus until you’re much much older, think me right at this moment. You just won’t have that fairy tale that those four years are said to believe, but you will be valedictorian, you will be an Oxford attendee, you will have that romance but when you’re ready and when you’re legal. Trust me, it’s hard to find a partner when you’re surrounded by older people in every class that you’ve attended for seven years before you reach adulthood. It’ll be a difficult adolescence for you, but you’ll manage, you always do.

You won’t be the shining star on such a notorious campus, the tens of thousands of students will make you a needle buried deep within a haystack. You’ll pull off some remarkable grades, but there’ll be others who’ll do the same or even better. You won’t have as many friends as you did before because it’ll take a while for you to adjust. You’ll be so terrified of being alone in England that the only friend that you’ll have for months will be your angel-in-disguise of a roommate, but you’ll adapt, you’ll find your place and it won’t be so scary anymore. You won’t be able to party as freely as your classmates, but you’ll put that inability into travelling, and you’ll love it more than anything in the world. Seeing so many places that most can only dream of will allow you to understand that there are more complexities than you’ve originally thought. It’ll also be the foundation of friendships that you’ll share with people from St. Thomas to Phuket.

Your first heartbreak won’t hurt nearly as much as losing your first love. Being so young can make you vulnerable, especially when one is looking for something far more serious and you’ll be concentrated on your academics above all else. There’ll be other losses down the road, but you’ll accept them, you’ll accept them all for the sake of others. Your first diploma, your bachelor’s degree, will be one of the happiest moments of your life, but it’ll never come close to receiving your doctorate. Your first job will rival that moment of pure bliss, but it’ll also fail to take the top spot. You’ll realize that the job comes with difficulties, you’ll face critics and it won’t be a peaceful conflict. You’ll realize before Oxford beckons you that your desired field of study, of occupation will come with much sexist criticism, and the only way to fight it is to prove yourself. And report them for such comments, after all, you take the rules of conduct very seriously. From then on, it’ll be smooth sailing, and then you’ll return to where it all started. It’ll feel like a lifetime that you’ve been away, when it has only been a decade. It’s then that it’ll all feel right.

There’s so much left that I have yet to answer, because I don’t know what’ll happen from now onward. I don’t know if we’ll become Nobel laureates like we’ve always dreamed of being. I don’t know if we’ll be in a relationship like Mom and Dad’s. I don’t know if we’ll ever have the family that we’ve yearned for, though I’m certain that we’ll find a way to make it a reality. I just don’t know what’ll become of us. I hope that happiness and fulfillment and success will be with us until our last breath, but until then, we’ll have to wait to figure that one out. I know you’ll do just fine as you grow into the person you were meant to be, because I went through it already, and that sense of pride and accomplishment that you’ll experience once you’re writing this letter will be inexplicable. Good luck, doll, you’ve got this in the bag.

“I know that, but nowadays, people coddle their children rather than set a few reasonable rules that their own parents might’ve decided on. Like my parents are seriously the nicest people around, they hardly ever raised their voices at us or each other for that matter, but they had to lay down the law whenever one of us did something that wasn’t approved of and it just doesn’t exist in modern parenting that I can’t help but knock some people for ignoring how they themselves were likely disciplined. The thing is that the media contributes if there’s an underlying lack of having some sort of parental control over your children, at least when they’re young. Actually, what you consider ‘shunning’ is me being humble, it extends past my brain and personality and to my appearance. Plus, some of those people have been a little too forward for a reserved, good-natured woman like myself, I take things slower than molasses. And I’ll have you know that it’s not just guys that would stop chasing me if that were ever to happen - and now I’m insulting myself. Wait... Seriously? I promise that I don’t mean that in a bad way, I definitely approve, Carrie’s a sweetheart. Though, easy with the body comments, Casanova, she’s a gorgeous girl, but most people prefer to have their personality be mentioned.”

Before I head off for an hour or so, I figured that I should post this. I’d love for Sage to have a couple of exes around (where they stand and all that jazz can be whatever you’d like tbh) simply bc she needs to simmer down with the everything-is-perfect attitude and hey it might throw her off if she sees a former flame, so if you’re interested, message me! If your parents were going to set you up in arraigned marriage from anyone from Southport, who do you think it would be and why? Who would you want it to be and why?

Oh, god, I can’t even imagine my parents doing that. They’d probably look into every single detail of every person here to figure out who’d fit me best, and to be honest, I haven’t even spoken to half of the town, so I could be overlooking people that I’d know that they’d approve of. But, I’d say… Andrew, maybe? I have no idea. Who would I want it to be? Probably a close friend, just so I’m married to someone I know well, it doesn’t really matter who it is to me.

Junk food. I’m involved in medicine and I know it’s not good for me, but… Why is it so good if it’s so bad for you?

Having kids yourself? 5) How many apps are downloaded on your phone and which are most used? 6) Do you have any word crutches? Ticks or habits? 7) Mun!hh: Did you pick your character’s name for a reason?

1. I get up and usually take a shower before anything else.

2. I wash my face, brush through my hair again and go to bed.

3. They influenced it completely. My dad’s the nicest, most generous person I know and my mom focuses on her career as well as her family, which I always try to balance out.

4. I love children, and I hope to start a family very soon.

5. I have about ten, and I mostly use Instagram, Soundcloud and Skype.

6. I sometimes fool with my fingernails when I’m anxious or uncomfortable, that’s the only one that I can really notice, to be honest.

7. Definitely, I always liked the name Sage plus it’s the name of a plant so I figured it’d fit her bc ~*science*~ then her middle name, Rosalind, is based off of Rosalind Franklin who played a huge role in the discovery of the structure of DNA bc it just made sense bc, again, ~*science*~ and Buckley’s taken from one of my fave musicians just bc. Also bc when I tested it out with her first name, I thought of this URL and was like, “That’s it, that’s the surname, /perfect/”
