is it weird if i say i genuinely wish there was more positivity aimed at people w large chests
"having a large chest is the beauty standard" no having a large chest is the Sexual standard theres a difference. i can only even be Hot and everything i ever wear will be deemed too sexual for every single situation. tank top shows too much cleavege or side boob a button up is always too busty and a crop top will always show too much skin. having a large chest leads to so much back pain and sexualization and complaining about it makes people go "ahh grass is alwahs greener/you are the beauty standard, why complain?" like genuinely i urge yall to watch anything with a larger chested woman and notice, REALLY notice, that her chest is her entire personality. notice that people critiqing misogynist charavter designs alwayd tend to rally in the statement that large chest=misogny, casting aside the Many Many Many women and people who look like Me and just . have a large chest? and exist? and deserve respect and not to be seen as nothing more than a sex symbol by both sides? idk ikdayy
a truck started beeping while backing up and i thought it was my cgm going off
playing stupid games but im really bad at them so im not even winning the stupid prizes
trying to seek an me/cfs diagnosis when youre counting pennies for gas means not getting an me/cfs diagnosis because who can afford that
i want something
it’s amazing how someone will come onto your post and try to be a pedantic asshole over shit they’re wrong about in the first place but when you fight back and prove them wrong, they hit you with “well you dont have to be rude about it” BITCH YOU WERE FUCKING RUDE FIRST. SUCK ME FROM THE BACK AND FUCK OFF.
ready for what the next week brings...
was finally able to read a book all the way through for the first time in about 11 years (yay brain damage)
unfortunately that book happened to be 13 reasons why so once i finished it i then decided to rewatch the show and THIS time i decided to watch ALL of it
ummmmmm………… why is this shit like degrassi next gen meets euphoria
as a teen, i was constantly harassed by adults enforcing ''dress codes'' on me. I very much experienced this as sexual harassment. I think this is one of many cases where people would more easily understand this as sexual harassment if I described it as if it happened to an adult.
imagine being on your lunch break, and your supervisor comes over to your table, tells you to stand up in front of everyone. they draw everyone's attention to your thighs. they tell you that you have broken the dress code because of the length of your shorts. they tell you to go change (so you do not get the rest of your lunch break). they do this every single day at lunch. every day. so you read the whole dress code front and back, and you choose your clothing carefully to not break it. you bring a cloth tape measure with you to work because they will not believe you. this time when your supervisor tells you that you're breaking dress code, you pull out your tape measure and show that you are within the limit. your supervisor says "I bet you wouldn't want me to bring you to the boss and let him measure it, would you?" it's clearly a threat: if you don't obey then you will be put alone in a room with your boss and he will touch your thighs. you don't know how to respond. you're taken out of lunch again.
this was my experience at school. replace supervisor with "teacher" and boss with "principal." this was sexual harassment. fuck dress codes.
killjoy here but yes there is a difference between disabled and can keep a job & disabled and cannot work to have an income.
there is a difference between disabled with a visually average body & disabled with limb, face and/or chest wall differences.
there's a difference between disabled with on and off sensory sensitivities & disabled with a sensory disability that prevents you from percieving or interacting with that sense.
there is a difference between disabled with occasional communication differences & disabled and unable to communicate without a device, an interpreter, or at all
there is a difference between disabled and struggles to shower & disabled and cannot maintain basic hygiene without intervention
there is a difference between disabled and has difficulty walking & disabled and cannot walk a single step, no matter what, no matter when
if we want to do 'disabled community', community should center the voices of those most affected. if awareness that you are not the most affected makes you feel uncomfortable or invalidated that's a personal issue to sort out on your own time. hope this helps
already can't pretend to care about the male loneliness epidemic because it isn't real but listening to the way men actually talk about their friends/what they think friendship entails makes me care even less sorry
read an AITA earlier today about a guy who would walk his female friend home to her dorm very often UNTIL she rejected his romantic advances*, then when she asks him to walk her home bc she's drunk and feels unsafe he says no. Men in the comments were clamoring to insist he "didn't owe her anything" and that she was a deceptive harpy who wanted to use her #femaleprivilege to get "special treatment"
and idkkkkkkk that could never be me sorry!! wym you don't care about your friends safety and are willing to mildly inconvenience yourself to ensure they are okay? no compassion or care for the people in your life but its an "epidemic" when you don't have friends? lol
#my favorite thing about every invented problem men have that is dire and world ending #is that it's none of their responsibility to fix it #'if men can't talk about their feelings are you making an effort to do that and check in with your friends?' #'no I'm acting exactly the same but now when I'm called out on being a dick I have an excuse that says it isn't my fault :)' #and now men being bad friends is women's job to fix not theirs lmao
⬆️ i've only ever seen the "male loneliness epidemic" used as a means to scold women. never as an encouragement for men to be better friends to each other
hopefully i'll get to do something other than endure soon. that would be really nice
When someone is behaving erratically or unusually in public, this does not automatically make them a threat.
If you sit next to the person on the bus who you see as spasming and twitching... most of the time they'll continue to move the same way they were with no ill intent to you. It's not dangerous, it's tourettes/stimming/cerebral palsy symptoms.
If you chat to the homeless man yelling to himself outside the shops... most of the time you'll learn why he's upset, have a chat that makes him feel less alone, and he won't want your help or will calm down because he's been acknowledged.
If you check on the woman moaning and writhing in her seat on the train... most of the time you'll find she's hungover or in withdrawal or suffering from a chronic medical problem, and you can offer support that could make her feel better or save her life.
Most people aren't out to get you. Not everything about a person's behaviour is intentional or directed at you. Strange does not equal threatening.
