RIP Christopher Lee (1922 - 2015)
I am sad to announce one of the greatest men in the world has passed at the age of 93. You may know him one way or another through out the years.Â
Full name:Â Sir Christopher Frank Carandini Lee,
He passed on at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital on 7 June 2015 at 8:30 am after being admitted for respiratory problems and heart failure. His wife delayed the public announcement until 11 June, in order to break the news to their family.
He has been in 206 movies (1948-2015) and many other tv shows & video games.Â
Is one of the most interesting men alive and I wish i have met him.Â
Served in special forces in WW2 and hunted Nazis
- Was cousin to Ian Fleming by marriage, and was possibly the person Fleming based his sketch of James Bond on
- Was as big a LOTR fan as there can be, and met Tolkien himself. His big ambition was to play Gandalf.
- Was Dracula, Saruman, Count Dooku, one of the greatest Bond villains, Lord Summerisle, and numerous other famous roles
- Made hundreds of films over a 70 year career, continued acting until his death.
- Did almost all his own stunts, did more on-screen sword fighting than any other actor and was an accomplished fencer
- Made several metal albums while in his 90s
- Direct descendant of Charlemagne (while his descendants are all over Europe, Lee traced his lineage directly back to the man himself)
- Married to the same woman since the early 1960sÂ
