That musical trailer has me excited for this pairing.

I do prefer her with Spock currently, and I definitely feel for the Spock x Kirk ‘shippers. But also I just want La’An to be happy! I think her being so shiny and new and not having an existing storyline to live up to makes me appreciate the character more in the moment.

Here's my poster for today's newest Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, "Lost in Translation". Great episode with wonderful writing by Onitra Johnson & Dave Reed and an incredible performance from Celia Rose Gooding. Guess writing and acting are important, huh?🤔

I fully believe this was an accident, where they just closed the doors before Pike could get out. For the rest of the scene, Anson just stands behind Spock awkwardly (although he DOES react to things in character, because he's a Good Actor). And then at the end of the scene you can see the doors open again and it looks like he steps out.

I feel like if they wanted it to be a comedic beat - where he was stuck there for the reveal - it would've been highlighted more.

Whatever happened, his confused reaction is worth giffing. ;)

Spock out of character behavior was so fun to watch, but Pike’s little moments was the cherry on the top.
