[[ hey all !! i think i just have to accept the inevitable by now and admit that my muse has completely left me, so for the time being this blog will be on hiatus ! If you wanna keep in contact so we can keep on chatting about our beloved babies come pm me for my discord !! i am still very much in love with grey i just can't get him to do as he's told for threads so i'm gonna let him rest for a while

Silens: *sneaks up on Grey quietly and ducks when the teen looks around before leaping at him with a playful growl and tackles the other Salmon playfully, clicking and whistling as they play fight. He only lets up when he has to try and move his long hair out of his face before playing again* (what was the way Salmonids and Grey were taught to fight and what age usually? Was there a technique? or just wack until they go down? Or run over with a steel eel in Silens' case.)
Grey let out an excited screech as he was suddenly tackled, SENSING THE MOOD of the other Salmonlings actions immediately and happily joining in the play wrestling. Being a surprisingly gentle Salmonid at heart he didn’t mind the pauses Silens took between their fighting, EAGERLY AWAITING THE OTHER to continue before joining in.
[[ they’re taught in a very haphazardly way, there’s no proper structure behind their tutoring and being creatures that tend to simply follow instincts anyway their methods are always ‘actions speak louder than words’ and will be taught through experience. And yes, their fighting style is very much ‘rush / swarm the enemy until one of us goes down’ There’s no set starting age, moreso whenever a Salmonid is ready to fight and their vicious instincts kick in they will start training. Depending on the type of Salmonid they may view those who choose to never fight to be weird or odd, maybe even going so far as to believing the egg they hatched from to be ‘faulty’ or damaged.
Grey had starting training at a young age around 10 or 11, he’s very friendly and accepting of other Salmonids seeing as he’s so evolved, but he relies a lot on his instinct still and that mixed in with his large array of emotions led to him wanting to protect his family ( aka every Salmonid under the sun ) from a very young age. His training was switched around and changed completely once he hit the age of 14 and was able to switch forms. ]]

If you're having trouble speakin, Inkling, Gray, it might help to have some water on hand to give you talk tubes some refreshment. Helps loosen them up so they don't sore up.

Kolora: How nervous where you when you lead your first defence? Did you have a large following off the bat or did you have to earn your troops in protecting your home and young?
Grey struggled a little, having to try and focus as much as he could to understand everything and quickly try to translate in his head. He wasn’t all too used to speaking Inkling yet, it was still A LITTLE HARD TO GRASP.

There were a lot of PAUSES BETWEEN WORDS, moments where he would slow his speech or stop entirely to speak in Salmonid and translate it to Inkling in his head before continuing on.

For some strange reason, the Salmonid leader seems to be acting MUCH MORE AGGRESSIVELY towards workers wielding the Grizzco Blaster.....
