I’m so tired of people being traumatized by a fictional show that was literally a fantasy. Supernatural was not a parable meant to show you the way in life. It was not some PBS special designed to make you feel good about yourself and teach you about right or wrong.

Sam and Dean’s relationship is not unhealthy because it isn’t real. They weren’t written for you to model your real life relationships on and thus be triggered when they behave in a way you find psychologically troubling.

Jared and Jensen owe you nothing because they are actors who were paid to play fictional characters. Characters they put their heart and soul into realizing on our screens. If they say Sam would have done this or Dean would have felt that….they’re RIGHT!

Incest isn’t good…in real life. But we aren’t dealing with real life. We are dealing with fictional brothers who were purposely written to be each others everything. So if fans want to play around with them being romantically involved that’s fine….it’s called fanon.

Stop looking for validation from fictional characters or the actors that play them. It’s great to admire characters/actors. It’s great to appreciate them, identify with them, be inspired by them. We all do this to some degree. But for gods sake don’t look for validation. Especially when you’ve already been shown, over and over, that you aren’t going to get what you want.

You didn’t watch Supernatural for Supernatural. You pieced together an idea of Supernatural to feed your particular interest. If you own that…great. If you want to bitch, cry, and moan about how you’re so traumatized by not getting what you were told you weren’t going to get by a show that wasn’t what you enjoy…..

Alright, here comes another rant of mine because once again, a part of the Supernatural fandom has gone too far. (Scroll down past if you don’t want to read plz)

Hellers, answer me this. Why do you claim to be fans of the show when you so obviously are not? I’ve seen countless hellers openly admit to skipping the first 3 seasons of the show (which are VERY IMPORTANT as they establish the main characters, their backgrounds, their motivations, and the world in which this show takes place). I’ve seen you tell others that the first 3 seasons aren’t important and that they can skip then (again wrong).

I’ve seen multiple people say that they skip any episodes that do not contain Cass (lol which is so many you’re missing like 90% of the storyline, especially in later seasons).

You hate the fact that the show was about FAMILY LOVE and the love between Sam and Dean and try to shove romance into the plot where it doesn’t belong/is not needed. (Speaking of LGBTQIA+ you to realize that asexuals do enjoy seeing non-romantic mainstream shows right? And to try to say no the shows about romance and if you don’t see that you’re homophobic etc etc)

You go out of your way to openly criticize the actors/people behind the scenes who don’t agree with your viewpoint, even going to far as telling people they should kill themselves/should have aborted their daughter etc (I’ve already ranted about these so let’s move on).

I’ve seen you use stupid things such as the color of someone’s shirt, the way someone sits/lays on something as showing how “gay” or “bi” they are (which is horribly stereotyping which I’ve also seen multiple people who are gay/bi call out out for).

You ignore actors who have told you MULTIPLE TIMES that their character is STRAIGHT and a LADIES MAN, and how he NEVER PLAYED THE CHARACTER LIKE THAT all because it goes against your narrative of how your ship is totally cannon in the show.

You attack others who don’t ship your ship, calling them homophobic (even if they are, in fact, part of the LGBTQIA+), you cry about how it’s for REPRESENTATION even while completely ignoring cannon gay/lesbian couples unless they support the narrative you’re trying to spin.

An actor says “love can be anything, it doesn’t have to be romantic” and accuse him of being homophobic.

You’ve gone as far as using the color of a characters clothing IN A SHOW THAT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH SUPERNATURAL as proof that your ship is cannon (seriously that stupid “omg it’s hunter green and angel blue it’s so saying our ship is cannon” was ridiculous and over the top)

Your sub section of the fandom is one of the most toxic, abusive things I’ve seen in my life.

You’ve all just shown that you didn’t really like Supernatural, you like the version of Supernatural that you built up in your fanfics and in your echo chambers of shipping buddies. And when the real show ended without making what you thought was going to be the end game relationship real, you all exploded.

You’ve taken a character I used to love, who I thought was a badass and turned him into a crying lovesick teenager who I can’t even stand to see. All because you insist on shoving your narrative into a show that never fit it in the first place.

Ok. Gloves off. That’s it. They can’t fire me now. I can tell you I spent a SIGNIFICANT amount of time last week (4 days, 12+ hours on set, within 5 to 20 feet of Jensen and Jared filming Walker…mostly Jensen). My moots have my pics to prove it. Not only was Jensen very friendly to Jared but played a huge well planned and thought out prank on Jared on his birthday which he had go down while filming a scene and EVERYONE in the cast and crew was in on it. About 60-80 people. On his birthday. His reaction afterwards with Jared was one of sheer affection and joy.

There were also a few times (that I caught) where they were off to the side, away from everyone (on the far side of the ticket booth in the posted pics was one of them, myself a few feet away) where they were no more than a foot away from each other and Jensen numerous times placed his hands on Jared and (let my son die if I’m lying) put his hand on his chest for a second. Something they’ve probably done for 15 years. There were so many instances of closeness between them. Now yes, Jensen was doing a job but I know when there’s an intimacy involved. We have 15 years of conventions where we saw it. I saw it here. Not constantly but it was there. I am not a hat. This was just a strong affection between these men that made me tear up to see because I hated Jensen for what he did. These jerks can STFU!!! Sorry for my rant. Wasn’t going to let anyone but a couple of my moots know about what happened there but this made me want to scream.

At first I was surprised that Danneel hasn’t reposted any of her (admittedly terrible) modeling for that boutique in Austin. After all, it’s the first job she’s had in years and she should be trying to raise her profile as Chaos Machine tries to get off the ground. Plus, it’s not like she’s shy about debuting a completely new face and pretending it’s au natural. However, I realized that she can’t come back to instagram at the moment without being called out for her performative activism. And as we all know, Danneel can’t handle criticism.

Her stans on Twitter aren’t happy because she hasn’t acknowledged Texas Gov. Abbott’s new anti-trans directives despite it effecting her home state and her being an “ally” to the LGBTQ+ community. No reposting resources, no donations to any OutYouth Austin or other LGBTQ+ charities, no bare minimum show of support. They’re mad that the Ackles are marketing their brewery as a safe space, their production company as dedicated to queer presentation but won’t show up to help when the community is being attacked. Especially because it’s happening in Texas, the state the Ackles claim to call home. They’ve finally realized that Danneel has been using them for woke points, and both the Ackles have been profiting of the LGBTQ+ community without actually supporting them. The Ackles look especially bad because the both Jared and Gen have spoken up, and put their money where their mouth is.

And while I don’t agree that celebrities should get involved in global politics, (someone should tell them that sending their own money for humanitarian aid is much more helpful than their thoughts and prayers) her fans are also mad that it took her several weeks to acknowledge the crisis happening in the Ukraine. And when she did, it was just her usual performative activism. The “Oh look, I put a link in my bio so that the working class knows where to go so that they can do all the work” approach that she loves to take.

And you know it’s bad if her stans who aren’t the brightest of the bunch or the most independent thinkers are not only upset, but rightfully so (about the LGBTQ+ issues, not the war). She can’t dig herself out of this one with some cute photos of Jensen or rainbow logos, that’s for sure.

I think you brought up such an important point. She stated she was an ally and her actions prove otherwise. It's like she only plays the "activism" card when it's convenient. It's performative and the people who believe in her are less and less. This is what happens when you approach activism from an inauthentic stance. “Oh look, I put a link in my bio so that the working class knows where to go so that they can do all the work” THIS. IS HER. In a nutshell. That's all she does and she calls it "Activism". And some people fall for that which is just sad. She expects "the little people" to bow before her because she "acknowledged their plight". She raises a lot of noise to get attention and then back up once it's time to really get involved or worse, like she did when she whitewashed MLK, instead of being open to discussion she creates drama and doesn't own up to her mistakes and her contradiction of the values she says she has but never backs up. So it's all about her not the causes she supposedly "engages" in. It's her desperate ploy of attention and relevance. If this is her Activism, then for the love of gawd, she needs to shut up and stick to donating Jensen's money. Sorry not sorry.

First they projected their happiness onto a fictional ship on a television show they had no control over, but engaged in an embarrassing futile effort to influence the show and exert control over it by slandering writers and showrunners and actors and fans who don’t give into their demands as homophobic.

Now they project their happiness onto an actor they have no control over, engaging in this embarrassing campaign of spinning everything Misha does into a “win,” and creating this arch-nemesis for him in the person of Jarpad, who they use this convoluted pretzel logic to say is a loser and a flop.

They never learn.

The lesson they were supposed to learn after their ship didn’t come in is a simple one, that everyone with common sense already knows: you don’t put all your eggs in one basket and absolutely never put them in someone else’s basket. You’re not gonna find happiness or fulfilment in life expending all this emotional energy over something you can’t control and have absolutely no say in. All you’re gonna do is burn yourself out and make yourself more miserable. It’s never gonna end well. Your emotional wellbeing and fulfilment in life has to come from something you actually have control over.

Jared haters have toxic personalities and engage in fandom on very unhealthy levels for multiple reasons.

1. They’re obsessed. Really it’s been a year since the show is over. I would think by now you would have moved on and instead focus on something you DO like but I find the haters have become addicted to constantly talking about him. I see some discuss him as frequently as his own stans. That’s not healthy idiots.

2. They feed off each other. I’m sure you’ve noticed how hating on him almost seems normalized. It’s become popular to make fun of him, his feelings are turned into memes, jokes are recycled around, bashing him gets you likes on tiki tok and hit tweets. In fact I’d say most do it just for social media engagement. Not a good way to interact online.

3. They willingly share misinformation. Don’t get me started on that 60,000+ note post accusing him of assaulting his co stars which has no basis of evidence. No one who has worked with him has ever accused him of any such behavior and in fact speaks highly of him. It also ignores the fact that if true, his good reputation in the industry would not exist and he would not keep getting work but no one really cares about the truth there. 

4. They have cast him as a villain. I’ve seen Jared haters so consumed with their hatred they see nothing but negative traits and portray any situation putting him in a bad light. This is a heavy bias and intentionally seeing the worst in a person. It’s not real. He’s just a guy doing his job and going about his life. If you perceive someone as being that bad, it’s because you are addicted to hatred and need to further justify it. Not a good head space to be in.

5. They’re unintelligent. Even if I could get beyond the blind hatred, there’s the fact that Jared haters often don’t have good points or make any sense. No I don’t say this to be mean, it’s an honest observation that they lack any critical thinking. I just saw someone on Twitter say he must not take long term villain roles because he wants to be seen as a hero. So someone taking a role as a hero is just an indicator of his ego?? It’s not just an unfair dig based on nothing but their need to see him as a bad guy, it doesn’t even make sense. He’s just an actor who is giving a performance. Most rants I’ve seen on him is always rooted in ignorance.

6. They’re hypocritical. I would like to know how these people stand on their ivory towers calling him the worst person ever when their entire internet experience is steeping in harassment and bullying. It doesn’t make anyone take you seriously in attacking someone else’s character. They seem to enjoy being a dick online yet also consider themselves so much morally superior to him. LMFAO

7. They hide behind social justice. I have seen people go off on long rants not fully being honest with what they are actually mad about. Social justice has become a tool they use to justify as hatred as though they are fighting the good fight. Such as falsely applying “homophobic” claims when they’re actually just mad their ship wasn’t supported. This is probably their worst trait as these people weaponize the struggles of real issues just as a means to hurt some celebrity over FICTION.

8. They hold others to different standards. I’ve noticed through the years Jared is somehow given expectations and standards the other actors don’t live up to. There seem to be a set of rules to these people that only he has to follow. A good example is how they have treated him with his new show. He wasn’t even allowed to tweet a simple gif of Dean Winchester or put an easter egg of spn in his own show, but Misha could blatantly use the show to promote his book and no one cared about Kripke using easter eggs or hash tagging spn family for everything. Jared is the only one who was not allowed to talk about supernatural, the show he co led for 15 years. Another personal favorite is how they accuse him of sexually assaulting co stars even though there is footage of Misha shoving Jensen’s face into his crotch despite being told to stop.

Jared haters just exist in a very negative existence and are nothing but a toxic stain in fandom. No it’s not about not liking a celebrity, it long since stopped being about that. They lost any rationality they once had and been out of control for some time. But none of this says anything about Jared, it says plenty about them of course. They’re miserable AF.

it baffles me how some of you can still be focusing on jensen after someone has died. how some of you can be sad about the fact that this was a dream for him and the perfect movie for his career when halyna hutchin's career is forever over. no more dreams, no more perfect chances to advance for her. how some of you are centering this conversation around jensen's potential feelings, about misha's feelings, who wasn't involved in the slightest, when alec baldwin will probably be traumatised for the rest of his life because he was apart of a fatal accident that killed one person and injured another. i can't believe that some of you are openly admitting how relieved you were that jensen wasn't injured or worse, when halyna hutchins is dead and joel souza is still in the hospital because of his injuries. i can't dictate what you feel privately but think for one moment how inappropriate it is to be relieved when someone has died. think about halyna hutchins.

I don't know how Jensen can stay calm or even think about doing another con with how bad Hellers and Misha treat him. He's dealing with this horrible tragedy and you have Gish destiel freaks posting carved out pumpkins with his face or destiel images online next to or besides Halynas picture. Just when you think they have sunk low, they lower the bar yet again. Why does Misha continue to harass this man who pays him no attention, I wish cons would just go away.

I'm going to start this off by first saying, I feel so bad for Halyna's family and friends, as well as everyone else who was affected by this terrible tragedy.

As for Jensen, having to deal with fans, especially ignorant, intrusive ones who don't know how to 'read a room', could be extremely stressful. I won't be surprised if we hear of him canceling at least Charlotte Con.

But, there's also the chance that he'll want to stay busy and decide to go, which, if he does, I'll say again, Creation is going to have to screen every question to make sure that there's nothing asked that could be remotely triggering.

If Moosha had any dignity, he'd put a stop to the current Gish campaign, especially since there's a lot of media focus on Jensen right now with people googling him, and news articles about him. The last thing search results should show are pumpkins with his face on them.

My first thought was that Jensen was the other person shot because the article I read said 40-something male and they hadn't released names yet. So I was relieved to hear it wasn't him.

Now I'm feeling horrible for all three victims, including Alec =( this is definitely a horrible tragic accident and it's okay for people to be relieved that Jensen is okay, but there's a time for relief and there's a time for empathy folks. Let's get over the Jensen part of it and move on to the real victims here.

I didn’t find out until after the victims’ names were already revealed. Not that it doesn’t make this any less sad. I’m also sure many others thought of Brandon Lee, too. I know I did.

Let’s hope in the future more safety protocols will be in order on any film/show set.

Too many people on twitter are making this whole situation about Jensen.

It’s alright to worry about somebody. This is very traumatizing, I’m sure, but let’s not forget the victims and their families that were truly affected by this tragedy. Somebody lost a wife, mother, daughter from this accident and I just think it’s tone deaf to make it all about your favorite celebrity.
