(Spoilers!!!) Nick and Judy have to bust a criminal while undercover, and the VERY FIRST THING that comes to this fox’s mind is “Pretend to be my wife. Wear these tight leggings and cute glasses and I’ll wear a shirt that says foxy dad and I’ll call you babe, and we'll have a baby who's half fox, half rabbit. This is all for the mission, I swear” HOMEBOY IS NOT HIDING SHIT. HE WANTS THAT BUNNY COOKIE SO EFFIN BAD

I'm sorry, but the way the snake felt embarrassed by Judy and Nick's emotional hug and left them alone for their moment is such a romance cliché. In fact, the whole movie seems to be a reinforced romance cliché between Judy and Nick. Everything is there to indicate that in the third movie, they will clearly be endgame. And I can't wait for that honestly.

I slowed it down a little to make it easier to see, but if you watch closely, you can see her ball up his shirt in her fist! And his paw holding the back her head! The way he tucks her under his chin & nuzzles in closer... He's so protective of her ♥

Notice that Judy is the one who starts to pull away first. Nick wasn't ready to let go yet. He wanted to keep holding her!

An interesting thing about the Pawbert, he was the second person Judy implicitly trusted that has tried to kill her. Now imagine in the third movie someone tries to get close to her. Do you think she’s gonna take it well? Do you think Nick is willing to risk leaving her when this person could be a killer too?

Basically what I’m saying is that Nick and Judy might have some serious separation anxiety after the events we’ve seen.

Loid Forger is up to his eyeballs in PTSD and masking the hell out of it, gets stress ulcers, and is playing 5 dimensional chess with every interaction, figuring out and counteracting both people's individual and collective motivations and weaknesses. But he's also like "ough how do i maintain a healthy and respectful fake relationship with my beautiful stacked superhuman goddess wife who misses 40% of all social cues and wears backless sweater dresses all the time. the hc of yor liking soap operas and loid watching them with her are ADORABLE, so may i submit:

yor mentions a passing interest in a soap opera (maybe her coworkers mention it, maybe she just wants something to watch that isn't depressing news), and so loid, like the ideal husband, decides to study that soap opera like there's no tomorrow so he can chat with yor about it (for the mission! of course!) (also watching what ur crush watches just so u can talk to them..... ok loid i see u)

unfortunately, he gets a little too invested. upon a critical, serious analysis, anyone can see that the soap opera is a disaster. shoddy character writing. melodramatic plot lines. nonsensical narratives. but he just.... can't stop watching them. is it out of determination to relate with yor and impress her with an encyclopaediac knowledge of a show she loves? (mind you, she might've mentioned it a couple times before). is it because they're so unpredictable that it allows his brain to relax for a few moments? is it because he's a tiny bit too invested in the fact that the main character brushed fingers with her family's sworn enemy and they blush? maybe.

point is, my belief is that yor's likes soap operas. she finds them fun, silly, and a good way to relax.
