people keep liking last year's post so i thought ya know what I'm gonna update yall i don't wanna be spreading fake information
I'm from el salvador
as i constantly complain about on here, my country is in political crisis. the president is more a dictator than a democratic president. any that oppose him are incarcerated. there are pacts made with gangs that have resulted in thousands of missing people that will never return to their families who will never know what truly happened to them. there have been hundreds if not thousands of innocent people incarcerated this past few months alone because the government keeps stating that they're capturing "criminals and gang members" but since they have the before mentioned pacts, they don't incarcerate the actual murderers and kidnappers and rapists, they're just taking innocent people to keep up appearances. they're stealing millions of dollars and "investing" them in infrastructure that never gets finished and/or programs that are inefficient.
things are going to shit. things have been going to shit for a while now. and it's not looking good for him stepping down from the presidency voluntarily after his term is done.
today is central america's independence day. today, thousands of salvadorans marched the street against our government and their rule of fear and uncertainty.

there's nothing to be done for now, not really, not unless we're ready to face the military and the people try to take him down by force. that would lead to a civil war. the country is still recovering from the civil war in the 80s-early 90s.
I'm not asking for anything. just trying to spread information. if you can share this to spread awareness I'd be very thankful tho.
Feliz dia de indecencia
