Biography Sam had always been someone who cared for others, and their wellbeing. It started when he was a kid and his brother and sister were just babies. He felt an almost overwhelming responsibility to care for them, especially with his parents working so hard. It only increased when he was a teenager and his parents lost their job. Without a second's consideration for his future, Sam dropped out of high school, got a fake ID, and started working as a professional Switch. It was far from what Sam wanted to do with his life, but earning money and being able to feed his little brother and sister more than made up for anything he was missing out on. He was absolutely sure of that. If a few clients got a little too handsy, then so what? His family were fed and clothed, and that was what was important. It was two years before Sam quit being a Professional Switch. His parents finally found work, and Sam could finally focus on himself. What he found as he focused on himself, though, he didn't like what he saw. Two years of working as a Pro Switch for a less-than-reputable company and clients who didn't know the meaning of the words 'respect' and 'aftercare' left Sam feeling more damaged and drained than ever before. He was nineteen, a high-school dropout, and the thought of dominating or submitting to anyone made him feel dirty. Even though his parents were providing for the family now, Sam was still stuck in the same mentality he'd had to adopt over the last couple of years. He couldn't confide in his parents, feeling like he still needed to be strong for them, and his siblings were too young to understand. Sam threw himself into the local gym. When he wasn't babysitting his brother and sister, he was lifting weights and doing everything he could to achieve the perfect body. It was all he could focus on, and it made him feel better. A month went by, and a Dominant on the gym staff started flirting with him. Feeling a little uneasy but more confident than he had felt in nearly a year, Sam agreed to go on a date. The date went well, and eventually, Sam agreed to a scene. His first since he stopped working as a professional. As soon as the Dominant touched him, gave him orders, Sam freaked out. He screamed and shouted, before running from the man's house. He ran straight home, hoping to hide from the world, or at least his parents. But they saw him, and after a little coaxing, the truth came out. Sam hadn't been working in an office for two years, and his experiences had left him with mental and emotional scars. The three of them sat up for hours, talking over the best way for Sam to get some help. His parents knew they'd failed him and were determined to do everything they could to right their wrong. Sam started going to therapist who specialised in this area. Some sessions he'd talk about his family, his wishes for the future, and what had happened to him. Other times, he'd sit in silence and enjoy not having any expectations placed on him for that one hour. Almost a year after starting therapy, Sam slowly came to the realization that staying where he was wasn't going to help. As much as he loved his family, he needed time away from them and away from the town his troubles had taken place in. He toyed with the idea of simply moving somewhere, but the thought of being totally alone was a scary one. Finally, he mentioned the idea to his therapist who showed support for the idea. Bringing in a social worker friend of hers, Sam's therapist managed to get a recommendation to Harborage House for him.
Well, we generally all help out on the farm, but I don’t think there will be too much to get his hands dirty. Unless my momma corners him in the kitchen. Which I wouldn’t be too sad about; especially if it means his wonderful crepes. Â
That sounds exciting. When will you know about this new job? Well, I hope they are back in time for Thanksgiving. Â
I don’t know if it’s that type of farm or not, but now I’m imagining Sebastian running after a squealing piglet and I can’t stop smiling. Aw, that sounds so sweet, he and your mom making food together.
Next week, after they’ve interviewed everyone. I hope so too, Miss.
Things are very good Sam. Just making some plans for Thanksgiving this week. Sebastian and I are going to head home to my family’s farm. Â
What about you Sam? How are things with you? Will the Anderson’s be home in time for Thanksgiving?
Oh, that’s exciting, Miss. Please tell me Sebastian has to get his hands dirty on the farm, and that there will be pictures.
Things are good. I might be up for a promotion at work, so that’s exciting. I think they will be, Miss. It all kinda depends on Cooper’s shooting schedule.
Blaine: Well, while I appreciate the thought, this is definitely something you need to do for yourself.
Blaine: So sit down and see if you can come up with a list of 5 questions or things you should figure out before the interview. That is a task for today. Your other task today, is to go out and walk the grounds for at least 45 minutes.
Blaine: I know you do. We will be home soon enough.
Sam: I know, I'm just teasing.
Sam: Okay, Sir, I can do that list. Just the grounds, right?
Blaine: I definitely think your abs could cut glass already. But leg work sounds good. Make that ass look perfect Sammy.
Blaine: Sit down and think along those lines and you might be able to come up with more. Anticipating things, and showing you've given this some thought will work in your favor.
Blaine: I love you.
Sam: They could just use a bit more definition, I think. But you know I gotta keep my ass looking good for my man.
Sam: You're right. Thank you, babe. I really appreciate the help.
Blaine: You need to ask more questions of them. What are the added responsibilities? The pay? Benefits? hours? Think up those and make a list to take with you. Research where you might need to go-other stores- look up bus routes and practice. So you know you can and you know how long it takes.
Sam: You're gonna say I'm crazy, but I think my abs need a little more definition, so I want to work on that. A little more leg work would be good too.
Sam: Oh, wow. I would've thought of the pay and hours eventually, but like, researching bus routes and asking about the other stores, I would've just walked into all that and been blindsided.
Sam: You're a million miles away and still taking care of me.
Blaine: You shouldn't be able to even think about it. ;)
Blaine: I'm waiting for those lists...
Sam: I'm pretty sure I'm gonna pass out this time.
Sam: For workouts, I'm gonna hit the gym on Tuesday morning, Wednesday afternoon, Thursday afternoon, and Friday morning. Basically whenever I'm not at work.
Sam: For the job thing, I can't think of anything other than make sure my suit is ironed if they want to like, re-interview me.
Blaine: Good. Your next task is to make sure that you completed the first one. Try again.
Blaine: Second task is to make a list of when you are going to get your workouts in this week. And four things you need to do before applying for the new position at the store.
Sam: Again? But I did it right this time!
Sam: My dick is gonna think I hate him, the poor guy.
Sam: Okay, I can do that, Sir. Do you want me to like, send pics of the lists?
