Josefina loves autumn. Harvest is the busiest time of year on the Montoya family's rancho, and everyone is helping to bring in the crops. Josefina is in the orchard picking the biggest, prettiest apples!

Debatingggg……Do I sell my Caroline doll + collection to have money & space for Claudie (maybe also Courtney?), or do I keep her and just get Claudie anyways 🤔🥸
Useful Websites for Identifying AG Stuff
A Thousand Splendid Dolls - These Flickr albums have great high res photos of a ton of American Girl clothes and accessories.
AG Heaven - Almost all the illustrations from American Girl books and magazine stories. Constantly being updated.
AG Playthings.com - This site is pretty useful for the early American Girl of Today line and the older lines like Hopscotch Hill.
AG Playthings Message Board - Fun place! The reviews section is viewable even if you’re not a member. Here’s a link to the Historical Characters section.
AG Scans - Paper items from all the historical collections plus a few modern ones. Also has some assembly instructions.
American Girl Wiki - Almost every single American Girl thing. I don’t really agree with how it’s run but it is useful. The Visual Chart of the Truly Me Dolls is especially helpful.
Curt’s Complete Guide to American Girl Doll Collecting - It’s no longer complete since it hasn’t been updated in years but it’s invaluable as a resource for the early Pleasant Company and partnership with other brands products. You can also see all the Scenes and Settings Scenes.
Emily’s American Girl Dolls - Book illustration comparison, photos of the Rebecca dollhouse, Kirsten’s mini paper dolls, and scans of the short-lived Pastimes newsletter
Lissie and Lilly - Paper doll scans, a gallery of dolls dressed in various outfits, lots of doll related reference guides. Pleasant Company catalog scans posted on Flickr.
A little WIP of my two favorite girls. I am quite lazy when it comes to finishing my art but I really like this piece and have an idea I hope to execute and have finished by Valentine’s Day!
… but just in case I don’t… take this for now
Thinking about restarting my AG phase bc my plant phase isn’t working out
returning to this blog 8 months later to ask: does anyone have a blank version of this image without any text?

This dress is finally finished!
The sash was fiddly. But it came out nicely in the end and that’s what matters.
Here are the home sewing patterns I used as reference for the design!

Hey AG fandom. How have we never discussed the fact that Samantha’s friend Ida Dean
nearly shares a name with Ida Bean?
This is either a coincidence, or was written into Addy’s series by Connie Porter as a nod to Samantha’s friend. Or maybe (my favorite theory) they are connected in-universe. Ida’s mom was a student of Miss Walker in the 1880′s, and became very close with her teacher. She somehow learned that Miss Walker’s childhood doll was named Ida Bean. Then when she grew up and married a man with the last name of Dean and later became the mother of a daughter, she named her Ida. Maybe grown-up Addy was informed that her former student’s daughter is named after her childhood doll, and she was utterly delighted by that.
