Disney Princess Rainbowcy ~ 10 Generations

What a wild ride this family has been. I cannot believe I did 10 generations! I honestly had plans for Gen 11 (Frozen) but I do not have the energy to see it through. So alas I will put this story to bed and focus on other fun and exciting projects. 

What started as purely gameplay no cc kind of story ended up being one of the most action packed pose inducing projects I have ever done. I have learned so much about the game and storytelling from this family and it’s been amazing to watch myself grow along with them. This legacy started in 2017!!! And now it is finally finished 5 years later (with lots of breaks and such taken in-between lol) 

If you read any or all of their stories I thank you. It’s weird to say goodbye to them all but I’ll be glad to revisit their stories here on this blog from time to time. 

Thank you to these sims. The simmers who donated spouses. And the readers who followed along.

Part 9 ~

The healing song worked one final time as Rampion’s tears fell onto Flan. It healed him in one final act. One last gift from the magic to this family now that the magic mirror was defeated. 

Flan and Rampion celebrated their victory in happy smiles and happy kisses. But then came the most challenging part of starting her new life or finding where she fit into the one she had been stolen from. 

They found her parents in Strangerville still searching for her after all these years.

And the whole family rejoiced, back together again.

And they all lived happily ever after ~

Part 8 ~

Luckily for Rampion, Flan was right behind her in scaling the tower. When he arrived, he took in the scene and was ready to jump into action to save her.

Unluckily for him, Mother Oleander had a surprise waiting.

She stabbed him in the side just enough to keep him down and out of the way. This was the long awaited transfer that had been 10 generations in the making. He wouldn’t be the one to stop it. However, his cry of pain was enough to knock Rampion out of her trance. 

She ran to his side ready to call on her healing song. Ready to barter her life for his if Mother stood in the way. She was ready to give it all up for him when he used the last remaining strength of his to grab for Mother’s dagger and take it to Rampion’s magic hair, seeping all the magical powers with it. 

Mother screamed in agony. All the years of magical youth seeping out of her as well and aging her into dust. Rampion’s remaining hair faded to her natural blue. The rush of magic cracked the magic mirror in the room. And it took Flan’s final breath...

Rampion sang her healing song one final time as she cried for everything she had lost and everything she had loved.

Part 7 ~

After their lantern was high in the sky and starting to make it’s descent among the others in the river, one lantern in particular caught Rampion’s attention. 

She was able to catch it. A purple lantern just like herself. When she held it in her hands, she knew...something was missing. She was missing pieces of her life. And there was only one person left who could fill in those missing pieces. 

Rampion made Flan take her back to her tower. He thought it felt like a bad idea but she had to tell Mother that she couldn’t stay there any longer. And she needed answers. However when they arrived back, she was surprised to find Mother waiting. And she was not alone.

Mother Oleander had found Rampion missing much earlier in the day. She had been outraged and shocked at her running away. Her patron, Jona, called on her for a progress report and she had to deliver the news. Jona said it was time then to move the process forward. The little heiress had a piece of Jona’s magic, and she wanted it back. As soon as she returned to the tower, their plan years in the making would begin. 

And then the truths came out. That Mother wasn’t her real mother. That she had been stolen away from her family and bred with that magic inside of her for one purpose, for freeing Jona from the magic mirror. All Rampion had to do was walk through the mirror and take Jona’s place, and then she would be free. And all the years of curses on this family would finally be over. It would be even easier for Rampion with a bit of Jona’s power, though Jona intended to take it all when they switched places. 

Rampion found herself compelled to listen. A strange force of magic pulling her toward this mirror...

Part 6 ~ 

Later on, Rampion shows off the magic within her. She sings her song and heals Flan’s hand injury by wrapping her hair around it. 

They share similar feelings of woe from their childhoods but both come out with a new respect for one another. Flan isn’t ready for the day to end on this note so he promises one more surprise for Rampion and this one will be a big one. 

He takes her into town. It’s bustling with life and activities as a festival is taking place at night. While they wait for the festival to start, Rampion sets out to do many things to explore such as sharing her love of art with the others around town.

The events of the whole day lead to Rampion wishes it would never end. But alas the sun does go down and Flan delivers on his promise. 

He brings her to the Lantern Festival. A tradition that started many years ago when a traveling couple came to town and would release lanterns into the sky. The town kept the tradition, lighting lanterns every year on this same day: Rampion’s birthday. She can’t help but feel like they were meant for her. 

Flan surprises Rampion with a lantern of their own to light which brings the biggest smile to Rampion’s face. They light it together.

Part 5 ~

Rampion is in a world of her own. She loves being out in nature and exploring this brand new world around her. Flan is a disgruntled guide but a polite one. He tries to scare her off a few times but Rampion finds wonder in everything. Something that impresses him. 

She makes friends with everyone. Ruffian or animal. Friend or foe. 

She mentions how Mother always scared her into thinking the outside world was a scary place which gives Flan the idea to end this day quick and easy. He plans to give her just a little quick dip in a fast moving river and before she knows it she’ll be drenched and too scared to go any further. 

This quickly turns against him as Rampion doesn’t know how to swim at all. He jumps in to save her, injuring his hand in the process. 

When Flan calms her down from the mortal danger of drowning and takes her to shallower shores, she thanks him. And he feels incredibly bad for leading her here. He admits that his real name is Eucalyptus and that his life hasn’t been easy. Rampion admits that she has magical hair. 

This catches Flan off guard. And suddenly he realizes just why she has been hiding in that tower - or really, why someone has hidden her away.

Part 4 ~

On the opposite side of the magical clearing, we learn that there is a common thief running from the law. His name? Flan Riptide. And his wanted posters just never get his nose right.

As he’s running, he trips and crashes into the magical barrier, which has gotten weak in all the years it’s been up protecting this place. As he runs from the law, he finds the perfect hiding spot.

A seemingly lonely tower. Flan has plans to hide away in there until the authorities cool off from his trail, but he finds something else unexpected. 

A girl with a cast-iron frying pan that she knows how to use. Luckily she’s alone. And lucky for Rampion, this thief seems to have a heart of gold. She empties his pockets after tying him up and hides away all his stolen goods. She has one plan while Mother Oleander is out of the tower: and that’s to celebrate her next birthday in the real world. 

She blackmails Flan into being her guide and showing her around while safely getting her home. Only then will he retrieve all the items Rampion has of his. He agrees, reluctantly. And off they go. 

Rampion is suddenly leaving the only home she’s ever known. And she is filled with MASSIVE guilt if Mother finds out, but she can’t let this opportunity pass and so...she sets out on a new adventure with her guide.

Gen 10: Tangled ~

Part 3 ~

Far away in a hidden forest under clouds of magical forces, lays a tower. 

It is here that Mother Oleander takes the little heiress under her wing. We learn that Oleander is working for Jona, the wicked stepmother behind all of these villains. Jona instructs Oleander to keep watch over the heiress until she is old enough to be used for the means Jona needs her for. They communicate via a small mirror she has: 

Rampion has a piece of Jona’s power. She gained it while Lonnie drank the tea from the Mother plant. It is why Rampion’s hair is white and she holds a secret power when she sings. Mother Oleander learns of this power and decides to use it for herself to keep herself young. She raises Rampion as her own keeping her locked away for many many years. 

Until Rampion is a young adult. Her hair stays long and she is not allowed to cut it for fear her power will go away. Mother Oleander warns her of the terrors of the outside world and how some people would use her magic for evil. She scares Rampion away from the outside world.

Yet Rampion continues to be a dreamer, hoping to one day see the world beyond her tower. If only she could gather the courage to leave...

Part 2 ~

Late in the middle of one night, a mysterious woman finds herself in the home of our family and she steals the baby in the cover of darkness. She disappears in a puff of green smoke. 

Lonnie and Taro awaken at the cries of their baby disappearing. They spend every military expense looking for this mystery woman and any trace of baby Rampion. But they find none. As if by magic, they disappeared. 

Lonnie and Taro and the rest of the family are left to mourn their little lost princess. Without any sort of trace, there is no lead to follow. But Lonnie and Taro are not parents to give up. They continue searching. And in every town, every continent they release a single purple lantern.

Hoping that one day, the light will guide their lost little girl home.

Gen 10: Tangled ~

I have minimal interest in playing my DPR family further though I had plans for at least one more generation so here is a summary of events that would have happened had I continued through the playthrough: 

Part 1 ~

At first the years seem blissful. Lonnie joins the military career. Taro stays in the military career with her. Strangerville is all good and normal. After a stint of dating and being shy, Lonnie finally asks Taro to marry her. He accepts. 

They try for a time to have a child but end up having issues conceiving. Months and months go by with little success. The entire family encourages them to try other means of fertilization. Lonnie does end up getting pregnant but it’s a fragile pregnancy. For fear of losing the baby, Lonnie and Taro to reach out to the science facility in town for help. 

The facility is still studying the Mother plant. They say all the properties of the plant are strong and thus they use a flower from the Mother to brew a tea for Lonnie through her pregnancy. This keeps the baby strong. 

And lo and behold, a beautiful baby girl comes to term perfectly healthy and with the purest white hair they have ever seen. 

They name her: Rampion ~

Jona: Yes. We must change tactics. Steal me the heir when she is born. When the time is right, she’ll be in my possession and I’ll be ready to strike!

Jona: I’m too weak. My power is draining with each new generation. I must act sooner...but I must rest...

Taro: I...oh...well I’ve never been good at talking to people especially women.

Matzah: Would you like to stay forever?

Taro: Heh...dinner would be great. Yes.
