And what, you were a heavyweight before?
I wouldn’t have a hangover from what I drank last night, no…
Why do you drink, Abby?

@sam
Hangover? You had a hangover.
Yeah? I already said that. I’m just saying, I didn’t drink that much, I must be a lightweight now.
And what, you were a heavyweight before?
@sam
I’m not a dog. [She sat anyway] It seriously wasn’t even that much, apparently I’m a lightweight now.
Hangover? You had a hangover.
@sam
What do you think?
I have no idea. That’s why I’m asking you. [She went downstairs, albeit begrudgingly, and gave him a look.]
@sam
Why?
Because I’m your father and I said so?
What’s going to happen in the kitchen?
What do you think?
@sam
Why?
Because I'm your father and I said so?
Alcohol, why you gotta do me like that?
I’ve had a hangover all day, but I think it’s finally passing. So hungry. Feed me.
Excuse me?
You’re excused
Kitchen. Now.
Chill out.
No Abby, Kitchen.
Alcohol, why you gotta do me like that?

Sam: She also expected for years that this month was going to be spent training her butt off at the rink, and she's been at home in her room for most of it. We both know that a month really isn't a long time.
Quinn: Which never would have happened, if she hadn't been involved with her coach. The USFSA has always had the same rules, and she's always known the risks that came along with making that choice. Taking it easy on her because she made a mistake that jeopardized her own choice isn't going to help her, it's letting her wallow and dwell on it.
Sam: We never did file a police report. If we still want to have him arrested I'm sure we could. She was seventeen. No matter what she wants to argue, it was statutory rape... Maybe she needs to see just how much worse it can get to know how lucky she is.

Quinn: It's been over a month since she was pulled from the team, Sam... are we just supposed to make excuses for her behavior forever? That's not going to help her either.

Sam: What I want to know is what specifically happened in Germany that you're texting me about it before you're even home?
Quinn: She was getting into it with Paige Berry-Lopez before the competition, giving her grief about taking her spot. No matter how many times I've gone over it, she still doesn't think that what she did with /him/ was wrong, like we and the organization have mistreated her. Like the world has done her an injustice. And her attitude is atrocious. I understand that she's upset, and that it's disappointing, but acting like her family is a chore? Like she wants nothing to do with us? It's insulting.
Sam: Maybe it's just being brought out more because of the games happening. This was what she wanted, and she had it taken away from her, and then had a small hope given back to her right before it... Maybe it's just too much for her to handle. I feel like it would be too much for either of us to handle and we're forty. She's 18. It doesn't excuse it, but maybe we need to understand what's making her act this way before we can try and get her back.

Sam:Why don't you just tell me specifically what the heck is going on?
Quinn:You seemed to know all about this behavioral change five minutes ago, so why don't you tell me?
Sam: What I want to know is what specifically happened in Germany that you're texting me about it before you're even home?

Sam: I was't with you for two days, I don't actually know whats happened or whats going on. I don't know how to deal with a punishment for something that I wasn't there for.
Quinn: You just said that this isn't a new issue, so obviously you know what's been going on. Forget it, Sam. I'll handle it.
Sam: Why don't you just tell me specifically what the heck is going on?
TEXT || Sam
Sam: Tell me what you want me to do then.
Quinn: Don't just tell me that you'll support whatever I want to do. Help me.
Sam: I was't with you for two days, I don't actually know whats happened or whats going on. I don't know how to deal with a punishment for something that I wasn't there for.

Sam: That's not what I meant and you know it. You know they've got me right around their little fingers, and they all know it too. Whenever I try to be tough with them it just comes off as fake. Abby just stalls until I give in.
Quinn: Well then don't give in. It makes me look like the bad guy, all of the time, because they can just go to daddy and everything will be fine. It doesn't help them any.
Sam: Tell me what you want me to do then.

Sam: Thats why I said it isn't completely new. It's... Amplified. She isn't a teenager anymore, not really. I'm not good with the discipline, especially not with the girls, but whatever we do decide to do, I support that.
Quinn: Believe me, I'm well aware. Whenever there's an issue with the girls, its me that has to deal with it. Maybe I'd like some support or some help, not a 'oh I'm not good at that' and a dismissal. Forget I asked.
Sam: That's not what I meant and you know it. You know they've got me right around their little fingers, and they all know it too. Whenever I try to be tough with them it just comes off as fake. Abby just stalls until I give in.
