I see so much has changed!
Unfortunately, my exams come in January so I just popped in at a very inconvenient time. To make life easier for us all, I am going to say goodbye to Samuel (just coinciding with my goodbye to Eleven) and hopefully I can pick him up again soon someday. You're all fabulous and I know this RP will keep on being crazy and amazing until I'm ready to come back. Can't wait to see what awesomeness ensues.

Suffocation || Emery & Samuel
Emery laughed a little, he was so happy. It was a nice change. Refreshing actually. “So is Samuel.” At the mention of gang her smile faltered but she quickly hid the pain. “Sort of a refugee currently. I was a Whirly.” She explained, putting her hands in her pockets, her shoulders lifting up and folding in some. "That sounds like a great trademark." She said and laughed softly as he went out. "I like archery. I have decent aim with guns, but I don’t like how the feel." She figured that would change now. Before she didn’t like the power that she felt when she held and shot guns. It just seemed like an unfair weapon. Sure there was some skill to it, but not like there was with knives or archery. It seemed like a cheap shot and she didn’t like to feel like she had the power over someones life so easily. She wasn’t god.
But after everything that had happened, she was almost scared to touch a gun. Not because she was scared of the ability of it, but because she was scared she may grow power hungry with it. If she had a gun at her access, she might not think twice about using it on anyone with a uniform. And that was a suicide mission. The thwack of the knife brought her thoughts back to her and she turned to look at the knife. She smirked a bit. “Samuel, you have a gift.”
The redheaded girl was sweet and sincere. "A gift?" Sam repeated with raised eyebrows. "Where?" He looked around for a couple seconds before letting out a chuckle. "Well, thanks, I mean, I guess." He almost felt a slight blush rise to his cheeks. Compliments and positive recognition like that made him feel so warm inside. The Killjoy went over to the stump and pulled his knife from the wood. The young man held it out to Emery with a gentle smile. "If I'm going to teach you, let's see how you throw again."
Samuel didn't know how to teach anything but he'd make it up as he went along. The brunette was practically beaming at this situation. A girl was complimenting him and he was going to teach her his craft. She actually recognized his strength, which made the young man very proud.

The Eggs and the Honey [Samuel and Marlon]
As predicted, Samuel called out after him, and Marlon stopped in the doorway, slowly turning around. “Doubtlessly.” He confirmed, leaning against the frame with his arms crossed over his chest. “It will sting at first, as I’m sure you’re aware if you’ve touched nettles in the past, but after a while, a slight tingling sensation will appear in the burned areas, like when a body-part is asleep, and that’s when you’ll know it’s working.” The corner of Marlon’s mouth twitched upwards a little, as close to a smile as he got most days. “But a little stinging is nothing for you, right? You’re tough. You can endure it with ease, I’m positive.” His mouth curled a little more, imitating a friendly smile. “You’ll feel much better afterwards, and the redness will go down.”
Pain wasn't something Samuel welcomed, although he wasn't as big of a crybaby as people might assume. Either way, Marlon's sly way of telling Sam he was a tough guy who could handle it was slowly working its way into the taller man's mind. He pondered for a moment; he was pretty tough, at least if Marlon thought so - right?
"Are you sure?" he asked, trying to be extra cautious. "Rizzo's okay with nettles to help burns?" If Rizzo was okay with it, then Sam would do it. Or if Hallie, or Jared, or Katty said it was okay, too. Those were people he trusted. Marlon, on the other hand, was always the one to watch out for. Samuel didn't like him much but had to admit that he needed assistance; the cold water wasn't doing as much for his hand or leg as he thought it would.
Temporary bliss || Samuel & Jared
He kept his arms crossed over his chest, shaking his head no. Even being obvious he was hiding something Jared couldn’t imagine Samuel had his skate under his hoodie. To be honest his friend’s attitude had helped him forget about it for a minute. “It’s reeeeally nice out here. The sun shiiiines, not a single sound…” rambled stopping when Sam spoke again.
He closed one eye, afraid Samuel would run away leaving him there. “You promise you won’t leave?” Asked moving so he was facing him. Jared let out a sigh and closed both his eyes. He started counting in his head. If I get to ten and…. no, let that be twenty, and he hasn’t make a sound I’m leaving, he thought. 1… 2… this better be something good Sam, Jared hoped.
"No just go - walk away and come back in five minutes!" Samuel sighed when Jared closed his eyes. He figured if he didn't get out of Jared's view then, he'd get caught later. Moving as quickly as he could, the tall Killjoy scrambled to his feet, clutching the skateboard to his chest beneath his sweatshirt, and made a beeline for the Station. His game plan was to put the board back where he had found it and then pretend like nothing happened.
Sam was almost at the door when the board began sliding out of his grasp, the end sticking out from the bottom of his hoodie. "Shoot!" he called out, trying to conceal it again and get into the gas station at the same time, pretty unsuccessfully.
Lost in Translation || Annabelle & Samuel
"Oh really?" Annabelle looked at Samuel, interested but more so in the speech and idea of correlating her name to a cat than actually wanting to hear more about the feline. Her eyes followed the bag as tugged it open and she leaned forward, her hand cradling the bottom to lift its contents closer to the opening. Mostly copper coins, but there were a couple sliver hidden among the other disks. "It should work just fine," she smiled, looking up at the man while taking the bag of coins from him to put them on the dresser.
She stepped a bit closer to Samuel, putting her hand on his chest while her other made its way to his waistband. A few more steps back and his knees would hit the edge of her bed.
As a protective person, Samuel wasn't completely comfortable when Annabelle took the coin pouch from him but she was offering him help so he assumed it was all okay. Suddenly, there she was right close to him. The Killjoy's breath caught in his throat in surprise. What was she doing? Sam's brows furrowed ever so slightly and he bit his lip, a nervous habit of his. All he could do was step back from her, but she followed. Abruptly, the back of his knees buckled as they hit against something - the bed - and he had no choice but to sit.
Samuel wanted to say something but he was truly speechless, confused and trying to figure out if she was attacking him or if this was something else. Even when he opened his mouth to ask, no words came out. Maybe it was because her hand pressing against his chest and her fingers holding onto his waistband was, well, a little bit pleasant. Sam was putty underneath Annabelle's hands for the time being.
Guardian Angel [Samuel and Katty]
Katty balanced herself with her uninjured hand on Samuel’s shoulder as he lifted her up. When he got up himself and crouched down, she was unsure if they would be able to complete his idea without toppling over into the alleyway. The last thing she wanted was to get them both hurt. “Are you sure?” Katty hesitated, glancing back up at the ladder that was a good few feet out of her reach. If she jumped, she was pretty sure she could make it, but with only one arm, pulling herself up would be difficult, and if she did choose to use both arms, she’d risk hurting her wrist even more.
After a couple minutes’ deliberation, she pressed her lips together in a thin line and approached Samuel, stepping carefully to get onto his shoulders. “Just be careful.”
"I will," Samuel promised as he crouched down so Katty could sit on his shoulders. He held onto her knees and counted down from three, beginning to stand up on one. The young woman was light and Sam, though thin, was strong from training and running. He took two small steps closer to the ladder until his face was right against it. Slowly, being as careful as he could be, Samuel placed Katty's right foot on the third rung. "Okay hold on with your good hand - I'll come up right behind you." The tall man waited until she was settled on the ladder and climbing before grabbing on himself and following her.
The ascent was easy for him, the metal cold beneath his hands. The entire time, Sam was looking up at Katty to make sure she was okay. He liked the feeling of watching out for someone else instead of someone watching out for him. When he arrived at the top, the Killjoy hoisted himself over the edge and moved away from the edge before brushing off his pants and standing up.

School is beyond crazy right now so I'm definitely going to be not as active as usual for the next little bit until I can get caught up and settle into this mayhem. Replies will come - I assure you - but all in good time. As for good ol' Sammy, he's hanging around the Station practising knife-throwing and having a fine time. Can't wait to get back in action!
