Happy Thanksgiving Everyone,
As the end of 2018 draws near, the SAGAC would like to extend our thanks for a great year, wishes for an even better 2019, and success to all our Members, Sponsors, Supporters and Friends. Forgive the length of this email as the end of the SAGAC year tends to get very busy and there's lots to do and be done.
#1: 2019 Board Nominations/Dues: First and foremost, starting today the we'll be calling for nominations for the 2019 Executive Board. Board positions are open to all members (New and Old) in good standing whose 2019 dues are paid in full by Dec. 15th, 2018. Attached to this email is a description of each board position and what it entails. If you'd like to run or want to nominate a fellow member, please do so at the following link:
2019 SAGAC Executive Board Nomination Form
The Nomination period will run from Today through Nov. 30th, so please take some time and submit your nominations. That will be followed by a confirmation period where nominees choose to either accept or decline the nomination. Again, we urge you to be an active part of your club and get involved. This is your opportunity to have a voice and a vote. Once nominations have been confirmed, online voting will commence and the new board will be announced at this year's Christmas Party/Annual General Meeting on Dec. 15th.
$100 for Student/Military Players
$25 for Non-Playing Members/Supporters
Dues may be paid at the AGM or online at www.sanantoniogac.org.
Our yearly dues (with discounts for Students and Military) help to defray the costs of renting practice/playing fields, the team’s annual dues to the USGAA, the USGAA supplemental accident/injury insurance for each registered player and the purchase and maintenance of uniforms and equipment. Paid Dues include: Registered membership with the NAGAA and Texas League, eligibility to play in Pub League (2019 fees included), Texas League and National Tournament games, training from Certified USGAA Coaches, use of game day uniforms, invitations to all club functions and events.
#2: Amendments to Constitution: As a member of the SAGAC, each year you also have the opportunity to propose Amendments to the Club Constitution to be voted on by the membership. If you have an amendment you'd like to propose, please send it to Club Secretary Sean Hipp by 11/24.
14.2 Members wishing to propose Additions to or Amendments of this Constitution and Rules must send notice of the proposed Additions or Amendments in writing to the Secretary not later than twenty one days before the Annual General Meeting, or Special General Meeting as provided by Rule 8.5.2 hereof.
#3 SAGAC Youth Clinic: Big ups to our Youth Committee. They have one more clinic scheduled for this year on Dec. 1st at 9am at Hardberger Park West. The first two were a success thanks to their hard work. Kens 5 Great Day SA was at the second one and will hopefully be airing a segment before the the last clinic.
#4 Adopt-A-Family/Santas vs. Elves - Sat, Dec. 8th @ 9:30am: For the past few years, the members of the SAGAC have participated in the Family Service Association's Adopt-A-Family program. We've volunteered to provide Christmas gifts to two single-parent families to help bring some holiday cheer. If you can and are able, consider making a gift purchase for one of the families. Here's a checklist of the names, sizes and gift suggestions from the families. Please wrap new gifts and label with the name of the person it's for.
To make things easier, Jes Newman has created two shopping lists on Amazon with some suggested gifts. Gently used items are also accepted.

We'll be collecting the gifts at our Santas vs. Elves Match at Levi Strauss (or you can make arrangements with one of us before then if you can't make the game) More Info to come.
#5 Christmas Pot Luck Party/AGM Saturday, December 15th: This year, Jessika Barrera & Garrett Brnger will be hosting at their house. 5310 Arrowhead Dr. SA, TX. Things kick off at 7:30pm The Club will provide Tamales. Please bring a potluck item, your beverage of choice and a pop up chair. All are welcome, but please RSVP to [email protected] by Dec. 10th.
#6 Pub League Results: Last but not least, thanks to everyone for making this year's Avoca Cup Pub League a success. Congratulations to Los Leprecaunos on winning this year's cup. Team Members: Danielle Mitchell, Brandon DeHoyos, Jason Maldonado, Jimmy O'Halligan, Daniel Carroll, Keith Breen, Chris Shannon, Brian Thackaberry, Gabino Arana, Daryl McGhiey and Ryan McDaniel.
