Lock-down Journals.
1. I can go without online shopping for months. Yes, trust me If I can do this, you can do it too.
2. No amount of free time or access to various streaming sites can keep me entertained. I can get bored pretty easily.
3. I am not a very âstay-at-homeâ type of person. Initially when the lockdown began, I thought I would struggle being at home 24*7, but to my surprise it turned out to be not being true. I have become so comfortable being in PJs that now I might give going out a second thought.
4. I finally learnt cooking. Yes! My motherâs ultimate dream of me not throwing the spatula on the floor, giving up in exasperation and running out of the kitchen came true. From Papri Chaat to Lasagne, I have tried my hands on everything.
5. A lot of my friends insisted on adopting a cat during this lock-down. However, I found my interest in another thing- Plants. Pets have to be fed, cleaned every day, you feel sad when they die and a lot more. Plants donât need such high maintenance. I would any day choose plants over pets.
6. My mind wanders a lot. One moment I would be thinking about future and what it might look to carry an oxygen cylinder on our back every day to how people must have felt during the 2002 Gujarat Riots.
7. I finally, finally was able to complete reading âAnne Frank: The Diary of a Young Girl.â I had this book lying on my shelf since a year and I donât know why I kept delaying it. This book is so special henceforth; I would like to recommend it to everyone to at least read once.

8. Yes like any other student I also delay my assignments and really donât have it in me to finish it beforehand.
9. Last but not the least I have learnt the fact that family is very, very important. Not being preachy about it, but this lock-down and cyclone has really made me realize to be grateful about having home-cooked food with love on my plate and a roof above my head.
10. Also, I also tried to awaken my creativity through origami during this period.
