how you tell the swiftie community is getting older
Relatable: trying to take a nice photo with an uncooperative cat. 1923. Source.

Only when your girlish glow, flickers just so, do they let you know: It's hell on earth to be heavenly. Them's the breaks, they don't come gently. Clara Bow - The Tortured Poets Department (2024)
Taylor having so much anger and pain and hatred within her (all of which are justified, to me) doesn't contradict the fact that she's also an incredibly kind and loving and caring person and idk why this is consistently difficult for fans to understand. i've always felt hyperaware of these 2 extremes she has because i'm just like that too. we exist
i am so proud of her for making a very adult album for adults to listen to. i feel like she’s been held to such an insane standard for so long because people expect her music to be palatable to young audiences and specifically young girls. and she doesn’t necessarily owe that to anyone…it’s been really cool to see her embrace her adulthood more in work like folklore, evermore, and midnights, and i feel the tortured poets department is the most mature thing she’s put out. there’s no performance this time, and an astonishingly low amount of people pleasing because she’s laid it all out there, take it or leave it. honest, honest, and so very honest. i LOVE how adult this record is
Whether or not you agree with the criticisms of her relationship there's something cathartic about hearing Taylor Swift finally lash out at her fans weird possessiveness of her personal life
Lately I can’t stop thinking about how deeply grateful I am to have grown up with fearless/speak now taylor. Having her enter my life at my most impressionable and the most necessary time for me…I can’t even put into words how fated it feels looking back. I will never not feel like in some ways I was complete shaped by how much less alone I was because of her. I love her so much 🩷
“you wouldn’t last a day in the asylum where they raised me”
Taylor had Matty Healy down bad
what really blows my mind here is that cardigan actually did become the story of this album because when she felt lost and forgotten he came along and said she was his favorite….. only to throw her back under the bed the second he couldn’t handle the heat it’s all so
the tortured poets department.
“I’d rather burn my whole life down than listen to one more second of all this bitching and moaning. I’ll tell you something about my good name: it’s mine alone to disgrace. I don’t cater to all these vipers dressed in empath’s clothing. God save the most judgemental creeps who say they want the best for me, sanctimoniously performing soliloquies I’ll never see, thinking it can change the beat of my heart when he touches me”
TAYLOR ALISON SWIFT IS OUT FOR BLOOD ON THIS ONE
Everybody connecting Peter to Cardigan.. but Fresh out the Slammer is there
SWIRLED YOU INTO ALL OF MY POEMS // Now we’re at the starting line, i did my time // Now, pretty baby, I’m runnin’ // To the house where you still wait up and that PORCH LIGHT GLEAMS
