@sancuine.
❝ i really fuckin’– ❞ there’s an angry hiss resonating from down the hall, the noise easily bouncing off the stone walls that made up the structure of the building. patch gives a snort in response, all none-too-pleased to of been cut off by… whatever it was that was currently lurking just a couple of feet away ( or so the sound suggested ). ❝ as i was sayin’. i get yer uh… ya live fer this shit, but y’know, is it really worth potentially dyin’ ? this place is CRAWLIN’ with specters of all sorts. ❞ that was what happened when one walked into an asylum, not that the god found it to be all that surprising. sure, he’d been… busy upon another plane, but patch had been able to keep tabs on the shit that mortals created and ran. the moment he’d followed the other into the building he could hear them, smell them, SENSE them. ❝ … three ahead of us, one lingering behind. ❞
❝ oi– don’t go an’ try doin’ that shit that harv’s told ya ‘bout. ya ain’t ready. it’ll jus’ end with me havin’ t’ drag yer sorry ARSE outta here. what a blog post that’ll be– “ waaaaah sorry everyone, i passed out from magic deficiency an’ m’god had t’ carry me home ‘cause ‘m a WIMP. “ oh wait, you’d have t’ leave out th’ god part. ya get th’ jist. no sealin’, no banishin’, no damn exorcisms. get yer footage so we can fuckin’ leave. ❞
The sudden hiss is enough to rouse a startled response from him, but he takes it as a not-so gentle reminder to fumble for his camcorder from his rucksack. Readying himself, his eyes seem to twinkle with excitement, giving an acknowledging nod to Patch’s advice.
For just a moment, he falls sullen.
“...My blog posts sound nothing like that. I’m flattered you think I’m ballsy enough to even try that kind of thing yet, though. I’ll get to to trying out Harv’s stuff eventually! But right now all I want to do is study, I thought you kn--
Was that your way of worrying about me? It’ll be fine, these guys are mostly harmless from what I’ve read up on.” Mostly. “And even if things don’t go so great, I’ve got you here.” A playful shoulder nudge while he toys with the camera, setting a timer--god forbid somebody catch his god on camera. “They’re just spectres. You can just... punch them into the next astral plane. Something like that.”
Another angered hiss echoes down the hall.
“They--okay, they didn’t like that. Maybe don’t do that. Just... keep watch for me while I get what I need, alright? I mean, how else are you gonna be spending your Friday night?”
