I really don't know how to apologize... I've been suffering the worst mental constipation case ever.
Ā Ā This is the first sketch I've drawn in 2 months, and I hate to feel like this because this proyect is halfway done and I can't stand the idea of leaving it like that... so, I promise I'll try to make this work.
Raava, give me strenght! I'm almost half way there! I was kind of sad I couldn't finish this on time for Valentine's Day, but then I thought "it's been 10 years since ATLA aired and people still look for fanart online, maybe in 10 years someone will look for LOK fanart and find this... and I want them to see a DAMN GOOD KORRASAMI PIECE"... so I won't rush it just to make a deadline. That said, I'm gonna take a week off or so to check out some fanarts and fanfics and answer some messages on dA and youtube (because I still know shit about messages on tumblr :S)
A little update to let you know I'm more alive than ever... survived the heart-attack that the finale, the post Bryke confirmation and wedding day gave me... and I'm still working on this. Going through a little of a writer's block (yeah, if you draw a story you have to write it first) and I'm fighting with the dialogue. But I'm on pic 18 out of... maybe 60? and not giving up.

Ā Ā Republic City witnessed the wedding between Avatar Korra and head of Future Industries, Asami Sato.
Ā Ā The Wedding was preceded in the Spirit World by the legendary Iroh, and only a select group of relatives and friends of the couple attended the event. But for some of us, it was an historic occasion to be invited to the reception which took place at the Sato Mansion, where a large number of guest were reunited, including media from the Fire Nation, Water Tribes and newspapers from all over the newly established Earth Federation.
Ā Ā According to the sources close to the couple, the wedding was surprising to some, but predicted by others. Apparently the relationship between the Avatar and the businesswoman quietly grew from a rivalry for a man (the detective Mako, who was present) to gradually transform into a friendship and later into a romance.
Ā Ā We talked a little with the happy couple after the ceremony, both women looked radiant and pleased, but even a little restless to be to focus of attention of the media community.
āIām a very lucky woman,ā said Avatar Korra, ādespite the difficulties of being responsible for maintaining balance in the world, I thank the spirits to have found the person who brings peace and stability to my life... and lots of joy, of course.ā
āMy work is based on visualizing and planning future projects, but nothing prepared me for her.ā explains the heiress of Future Industries, referring to her new wife. āI never would have imagined, given the circumstances in which we met, that our feelings would transform so now my soul is filled with joy just at the thought of being by her side.ā
Ā Ā Nobody knows what adventures the future beholds for the powerful couple, but we are sure that, whatever the challenge, they will overcome it together.

(I'm sure there are still some bugs, but thanks for the help.)
Ā Ā Those who know me are aware that I don't usually post comments, but I have a feeling I want to share.
Ā Ā I like it when headcanons are based on evidence from the original series and that go accordignly to the character's personalities. But a wedding? After three weeks from the finale? On January 11th? Does that date have any meaning?Ā I did a fanart and I'm going to post it later, but to be honest, I didn't like this date for such a big event.
Personally I would have chosenĀ mid-september, around Korrasami week, orĀ December 22nd, which is gonna be the winter solstice this 2015 (also known as the sourthern solstice) and it's going to be the anniversary of Mike and Bryan confirming Korrasami as canon.
So, just to let you know I'm working on something huge. It'll take a lot of time and I apologize in advance for not answering messages soon enough or not posting anything else in the mean time (I may post something about the finale, idk). But, I'll try to update any significant progress about what I'm doing. The idea is not 100% coherent yet, but is going to beĀ something like this, but less erotic (sorry) and more emotional... and with the cartoon style (that's why this is taking so long).
Iām not exempt to them. Let me tell you about the ones I've had:
The first time I dreamed of Korra and Asami was by the end of book 1. They were street gang rivals. When their respective mobs came across, as leaders, Korra and Asami had to engage in a fight. It was fierce, but the fight ended in a draw, and Korra and Asami stated a truce between the gangs until they both meet again for another fight. Then, before their next encounter, they met in an empty street. They started to talk about why were they fighting, acknowledging they had a lot in common, and became friends (and then my subconscious shot me with making out scenes, yeah).
The second one was in the middle of book 4. Korra and Asami were fighting in a war, and when the final battle approached, they were more than ready to die side by side for freedom. But an old woman (it seemed like grandma Jin) said Asami couldnāt go to war because she didnāt have any relatives, and that if she dies in battle, her lineage will end with her. She must have a child to carry on her legacy. And she does have a baby girl, who is in care of grandma Jin while Asami and Korra charge into combat... Asami dies... Korra comes back, and the old woman hands over the baby to her, for she was her child to love and protect... and Korra names the green-eyed girl āAsamiā. I donāt know if my subconscious is preparing me for what's coming.
Whatever happens at the end of the series... Korrasami will be forever in my heart.
Ok, people. I know I said I wasn't gonna do this kind of posts, but I needed to take this out of my head.
So, today we watched Legend of Korra Book 4 Episode 8 called 'Remembrance'. We all know each cartoon has an episode full of flashbacks when the series comes near the end and this was ours.
Sorry to Makorrians, but this cartoon was supposed to be KORRAS JOURNEY to become the best Avatar she could be... but half episode was about Mako's failed personal relationships.
I've said a lot of times that I don't hate him, but he needed more character development... I wasn't liking him as much as I wanted. And this episode just came to rub in my face all the things he did that annoyed me.
First he says: "All that changed when I met Korra" but the scene is him passing by her side witthout even looking at her. Wu says that was rude and Mako answers "You know what's rude... interrupting". That's rude, Mako.
Then his telling Wu when he met Asami, Wu is like "You should work on your introductions." and Mako is like "When you have charm like mine, you don't need introductions." What the ACTUAL fuck!
At some point we hear him say: "Hangin out with Asami made things with Korra complicated." What's that suppose to mean? They go out, they kiss... but for Mako that's not dating... or maybe it was... he doesn't know... interesting... maybe they deleted the scene when Mako says Asami 'Whe should be friends with benefits'... although I'm sure Asami wouldn't agree to that.
Oh, and the next scene when Asami confronts Mako about his feelings for Korra, and he's like "Turns out she was right." ... surprise, suprise. Guess what, Mako? Apparently you're always wrong.
At this point I love Mako's cousin... his telling what most of us where thinking back in the days.
Last part was decent.. he says: "I helped Korra defeat Zaheer, and we did it as friends. She showed me the importance of putting other before myself." and "She continues to inspire me." Positive words... but I still have my doubts about he learning to put others before himself... well, he's protecting Wu, so, that's a step.
Now we are 10 minutes into the episode, practically half of it, talking about about the love triangle. I believe that ironically reflects the truth about the series... half of it was the love triangle and that was the worst part of it.
...
Then we have Korra remembering her fights, thinking that the world doesn't need her, and then comes Asami telling her all the good things she have done and Tenzin talking about how there'll always be an enemy but that she have to learn from them, and that she has grown up so much as a person and as the Avatar.
(Korrasami shipper personal commentary: Did you noticed how Korra says to Asami "You're so sweet." and not "That's sweet." or "How sweet of you.")
Time count: 4 minutes! Are you kidding me! Mako took more than double time just to talk about how he messed up his romantic relationships with Korra and Asami? Preposterous!
...
Then we have Varrick re-writing Bolin's story... funny stuff... that Giant Spirit Bolin cracked me up!
...
So, Bryke has, I think, 4 or 5 episodes to make me change my mind about Mako being just a fool with a pretty face... Oh, and remember when he said he knew how to fly an aircraft because he had dated Asami? How idiotic!
Copycat Time! Because Iām so nervous about the reunion that I canāt make up my mind on what to draw next. So,Ā I just took a bunch of pics from the #girl love tag and some other places and⦠ākorrasami'dā them. (Yeah, now is a verb⦠like google. XD)
I take no credit for any of this sketches, though. And I thank the original artist even when I donāt know who they are. :S
OMG! This took forever! More than a week looking for a background I could use, plus two whole weeks watching references for outfits and stuff (my respects to costume designers) and almost a week and a half to make the sketch, lineart, color, shadow and details... BUT I DID IT!
THIS is a gift for swani-writes.tumblr.com, based on her Korrasami story 'The High Seas'.Ā Thanks for all the amazing stories you share with us. And a special mention for Jess, whom I had in mind during the process of making this fantart. Get better, girl. <3
WARNING!: Highly angsty and tragic. BOTH characters DIE in the end. Read on your own risk. Personal comment in the end. (1,600words)
Perseorra and Medusami
Asami was used to solitude, surrounded by the statues of lost-name heroes so called champions who had tried to slay her. None rival, none deliverer. Sometimes she even wished for one of them to succeed, to finally bring peace to her life of loneliness⦠but it was just so fun to watch them try.
Ā Ā Asamiās bifurcated tongue nipped out and caught a scent. It was like no other before⦠a touch of sweat, a touch of ocean breeze and salt, a touch of sand and mud⦠and a touch of blood. A warrior, no doubt, someone here to claim her head, she was sure, but yet different. Anyhow, she could use some entertainment tonight.
Ā Ā She followed the scent just to find the unusual source.
āA woman?ā she muttered to herself from behind a column, far away from the girlās sight.
The warrior looked unlike previous ones. Not just her gender, but every one of the slayers that had come here were clearly afraid of what they could find. And with all reason, no one has ever leaved. But this girl, this⦠enemy, looked strong and confident, even mighty. This was going to be a nice statue to watch on those long lonely nights.
Ā Ā She smiled to herself.
āWhat brings you here, oh great hero.ā Asami talked to the air, letting her voice to echo through the temple.
The warrior turned all around, not sure of where the voice came from. She was disconcerted⦠of all the monsters she have defeated before none of them had had such a sweet voice.
āIām here to claim your head, you monster!ā The woman shout, brandishing her blade.
āMonster?ā Asami inquire, leaving out a soft and melodic giggle. āIām not the one looking for things to kill.ā
Ā Ā The sword woman was sure taken aback by the sudden realization. But she was a hero and this was her job.
āTell me your name, champion, so I could carve it in your grave.ā
āIām Korra, daughter of Tonraq, leader of the southern lands! Iām the protector of people and guardian of peace!ā
Ā Ā Asami couldnāt help but to laugh.
āYou donāt fool me, guardian of peace. Youāre here for glory, glory that only slaughtering me will give you.ā
Ā Ā Korra turned around again, hearing the voice getting closer and closer. It was dark, and the torches nearby gave her only a couple of feet of clear view.
āCome here, monster, so I can show you glory.ā Korra teased.
āI have a name, you know. Well, I used to have one⦠when I was mortal, like you.ā
āWhat?ā
āYou think all us āmonstersā just pop out the ground? No. I was once the priestess of this temple, but when I refused to surrender my body to the god I served⦠he turned me into this.ā
Ā Ā Korra saw a shadow moving through the pillars. It looked like a snake, a big one.
āYouāre lying.ā
āWhy would I?ā Asami said amused. āYouāre not leaving this place alive anyway.ā
Ā Ā Something moved behind Korra, making her turn again.
āThen who are you?ā Korra asked to the empty halls. āWhatās your name?ā
āMy name⦠is Asami. I was the daughter of the richest man on these lands. It was expected from me to serve our god. But when he tried to take me I fought back⦠and this was the price I paid.ā
Ā Ā Suddenly a female figure walked in front of Korra, although āwalkā wasnāt the correct word to describe it. From hips up Korra was sure she had never laid eyes on such a beautiful woman, loose long raven hair, full red lips, perfectly shaped breast⦠but from hips down the woman had the body of a huge snake that slid smoothly over the ground.
Ā Ā Korra noticed the creatureās eyes were closed.
āBut you killed all those people.ā Korra said still in a defensive stand.
āDo you think I looked for that to happen? Do you think I enjoyed it?ā
āThen why?ā
āAt first I couldnāt helped it. I was cursed with eyes that can turn living things into stone.ā Asami moved through the pillars, making Korraās sight to follow her. She approached to one of the worn out statues and continued. āI wanted them to help me⦠but as soon as my eyes locked on theirsā¦ā
Ā Ā Asami touched the old rock and it crumbled.
āAnd the heroes?ā
āThey came here to kill me! What did you expected me to do?!ā
Ā Ā Korra chuckled softly.
āWhatās so funny?ā
āYouāre a fighter, just like me.ā Korra pointed, sheathing her sword.
Ā Ā Asami identified the sound of the blade being putting back on its scabbard. She turned to face Korra, her eyes still closed.
āYouāre not going to try and kill me?ā
āWell, all of this makes things a little different. To me looks like youāre the lady in distress. Iām the hero, so Iām supposed to help you.ā
āYou are a very strange hero, Korra.ā Asami said with a smile. āHow do you know Iām not lying?ā
āI wasnāt supposed to leave this place alive, remember?ā
Both women laughed. The scene was as bizarre as it could get. Korra thought she was going to find a heartless beast and Asami thought a brainless warrior was after her⦠life sure takes many twist and turns.
āUm⦠Korra, can I ask you something?ā
āSure.ā
āDo you have something to cover my eyes, like a belt or a piece of fabric? Itās becoming really hard for me not to look at you⦠and I really donāt want to kill you.ā
āI wouldnāt want that either.ā Korra replied, content. āHere.ā
Ā Ā Korra ripped up one of her sleeves and handed it to Asami. Their skins brushed for a second and Asami felt her cheeks blush a little. She put the blindfold over her eyes.
āDonāt be.ā Korra felt silent for a moment. āCan I⦠touch you?ā Korra noticed how Asamiās body tensed. āIām not going to hurt you.ā
āI know⦠itās just⦠Itās been so long sinceā¦ā
Ā Ā Asami jumped a little when she felt Korraās hand taking hers. A firm, warm, rough but gentle hand caressed her forearm, up to her shoulder, giving her goose bumps while it kept traveling over her clavicle and to her jaw. She couldnāt help to breathe deeper and heavier at the sensation.
Ā Ā Korra placed her hand on Asamiās cheek making her leave out a soft sigh. She noticed a little wet mark on the fabric over the creatureās eyes.
Ā Ā āCreatureā became such a rude term for her to use now⦠she felt so guilty to have called her āmonsterā.
āKorra.ā Asami murmured when she felt warm fingers brushing her lips.
āI wish I could have met you before.ā Korra declare, still caressing that cold, marbled skin.
āBefore I became a monster?ā Asami said with a trembling voice.
āBefore you lose hope.ā
Ā Ā Asami couldnāt help to fall apart.
Ā Ā Korra caught her, letting the woman cry over her chest.
āIām sorry I failed you, Asami.ā Korra said, tightening her embrace.
āDeliver me.ā
āI canāt.ā
āKorra⦠please⦠make this all end⦠please.ā
Ā Ā The great hero of the south felt a lump in her throat.
āIf I did that, Iāll be the monster.ā
āPlease, Korraā¦ā
āNo. Donāt ask me toā¦ā
āIām begging you!ā
āNo!ā
āYou willā¦ā Asami whispered before taking a deep breath, āā¦or youāll perish.ā
Ā Ā The creature pushed the warrior away and granted such a powerful blow with her tail that Korra was sent flying away, hitting on one of the columns of the temple. She groaned in pain.
āAsami! Stop!ā
Ā Ā She barely dodged another strike, so strong that brought the pillar down, collapsing the ceiling in the area.
Ā Ā With the dust and most of the torches out, darkness deepened. Korra instinctively wielded her sword.
āDonāt do this! Asami!ā
āAsami is no more.ā A cold lifeless voice confirmed. āAnd your story ends here.ā
Ā Ā A dark shadow changed directly to her. Korra shut her eyes and brandished her sword.
  Something hit the floor⦠then silence.
Korra opened her eyes, slowly at first⦠but when she saw the headless body of the one she had wanted to save, the blade crash on the ground and the girl kneeled⦠defeated.
āIām sorry⦠Asami⦠Iām sorry.ā
Ā Ā She couldnāt hold the tears back anymore. Her blurry sight hardly let her see, but even though, in the blackness around, she was able to see the other womanās head⦠blindfold still in place.
Ā Ā Korra drag herself near it, taking it softly and bringing it closer to her chest. The expression on it was almost peaceful.
āForgive me.ā The so-called-hero pleaded. āI⦠I promise youā¦ā
Ā Ā The woman took the blindfold off, revealing a pair of stunning jade eyes. Korra smiled softly at the irony and understood⦠the beauty of this girlās eyes was enough to bring down any enemy, entire armies could have surrender to them⦠even the whole empire.
āI promise youāll never be alone again.ā
Those eyes glowed like the green, fresh grass of the Elysian Fields. And on its depths, Korra saw a vivacious, young, gorgeous woman⦠loose long raven hair, full red lips, perfectly shaped breast, lovely jade eyes and a pair of long, toned legs⦠running toward her with a bright wide smile.
Ā Ā Asami bounce onto the strong womanās arms, enjoying the power, the heat. And when she finally fixed eyes with her champion, she could see the clear blue skies in them, quiet and gentle, but passionate and intense, like the ocean itself.
Ā Ā Without hesitation, the two woman look for eternity in each other lips. And with that first and final kiss, they draw into nothingness.
_______________________________THE END.
Ok, this story started in my head as a comedy, more because of the āMedusamiā name that cracks me up every time I read it⦠but it suddenly turned into something else. I believe I, as Korra, am fighting with the dark part of myself. Call it sadness or depression, whatever it was, it almost forced me to write this. Sorry if it was too intense for you, sorry if you expected something better and I disappointed you. But Iām not sorry to have writen this.
On a side note I just wanted to emphasize how much the legend of Medusa touches me and of course how much I like greek mythology. ;)
In The Last Airbender I knew who the bad guy was, but in The Legend of Korra? I kind of agree with the equalist ideas, I kind of agree that humans and spirits shouldnāt be apart, I kind of agree that royal dictators are archaic and useless... and I kind of agree that the world shouldnāt depend on one particular person to keep the balance. Am I the only one here being conflicted with all of this?
Finished! I hope Jeem likes it. This is my way to thank her for being an amazing person and a great Korrasami shipmate who's wonderful stories are read and enjoyed by many of us. ;D
Her fanfic, New in Town by nightworldlove, is exclusively Korrasami , but of course I had to fill up the club... and for that, I choose (from left to right):
Kyoshi (she's the giant in the corner of course), Kuvira (way in the back, doesn't know what's she's doing here but she's ready to conquer), Viya (Jeem's OC who at first tries to hit on Asami), Yasha (Another OC by Jeem), Korra (a total cutie), Kya (who's trying to make Lin to enjoy herself a little), Lin (who wants to run like hell), Asami (our gorgeous and perfect protagonist), Ty Lee (who's hitting on her girl like 'Hey, there sweet sugar cakes') and Azula (who's tired of the crowds and wants to take her girl right back to their place). XD
