⚔The flag that connects us⚔

Today is the anniversary of Hijikata's death (according to the old calendar), so I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to show my entry for the Hakuouki zine ( @ephemeralblossomszine). I knew right away that I wanted to do somthing with one of my favourites numbers in Musical Hakuouki Shinkai - Hijikata Toshizou hen. That number, The Flag that connects us, has the Shinsengumi members that passed on halfway remind those still struggling (Sano, Shin and Saitou) that their fight is far from over, and their vow to the Makoto no Hata still stands.

夢見た明日の前で倒れても Even if we fall before we reach the future we dreamed of 仲間に托して信じ抜けば if we entrust [our dream] to our friends and keep believing 辿り着けるはず 目指したあの場所へ we're sure we can reach the place we aimed for

In the end Hijikata appears saying that he got the message and that he will take care of it. They can leave it all to him (The song is set between him leaving Chizuru behind and her joining him in Ezo).

I always thought that was such a strong image and the choreo has been engraved in my mind. If not for the zine, I would have drawn someting for it anyways, but I'm glad I got the opportunity to do it this way.

Heisuke and Okita throwing petals is a small nod to the final HijiHen curtain call where they burried Kubota in petals.

It was getting late so she decided to return home after drinking with Sen and Kikuzuki(Kimigiku). “I’m tirreeedddd"She slurs, stumbling a little. Suddenly, something feels off. Her mind more alert than a few seconds ago, she looks around cautiously. Her hand quickly moves to her thigh, where she keeps her kunai at all times. Close by she hears footsteps. And then even closer she sees a shadow. “Show yourself! ”

Sannan had been watching from a hidden spot up along one of the stone walls nearby Mayumi. His gaze sharp and keeping a close eye on her. He knew who she had met with Sen and Kikuzuki. He had watched them talk for a couple of hours about different things, even had heard Sen mention Chizuru which he knew that they were acquainted. Upon seeing their meeting was over and Mayumi heading out, he decided to move to a more secluded spot before she shouts for him to show himself. He doesn't move, knowing that he would be found easily if he moved again.

Sitri felt his heart flutter when Sannan moved in and laid his ear onto his chest. He gazed down at the other, wanting to light pet the man’s hair. Instead he quietly watched the man while keeping his curious question for another time.

Sannan was careful as he listened to Sitri's heart. The sound was of soft heartbeats, only for a moment did it seem to quicken before calming once more. He could feel the curious gaze of the other looking down on him before leaning back up, giving him a soft smile.

"Sorry, I was curious." He admits with a soft chuckle.

Accident

Send “accident” to my ask box for my muse’s reaction to discovering your muse has been in a serious accident that landed them in the hospital.

Soji had heard the news of the others accident and felt his heart drop when he found out that the man whom he saw as a brother was in the hospital and no one would give him any details. He got to the hospital as quickly as he could but still no one would allow him to see the other. “At least tell me what his condition is?” He asked one of the nurses

"He is currently in surgery. I don't have all of the details just yet. I'm sorry." The nurse replied, giving him an apologetic look. "I promise to update you as soon as I am informed of any changes." She stepped into the next room after having Soji sit down to wait in the waiting room with some water. Several hushed voices could be heard from the next room, tones of concern and urgency. A doctor, surgeon and a few others were discussing what was needed and how to continue safely.

HI I'M BACK

Hello everyone!! I'm sorry I've been gone so long!

So much has happened and the recent days have been the worst and super stressful for me.

Over this last year and a half I had to get surgery on both ankles. Turns out I'm missing the inner half of both ankles. They never fused so it was becoming difficult to walk. But now I'm finally walking fully again. Still slight pain (Due to pins in both feet now)

But other than that, it's been okay other than financial issues at the moment. But I'll do my best to get through it! I missed each and every one of you! I hope you are all doing well and I would love to RP again!

Updates

Lots of stuff has been going on lately. Financial things, work and stuff at home so I haven’t been on. We’re working everything out and luckily my hands are getting better from the tendonitis. About a month ago I started physical therapy and it’s been helping a ton. So that will let me do more of writing and everything else.

Thanks for everyone being patient with me for being gone so long. Same for my twin included. @inshadowsandice @toudouheisukeshinsengumi those are both her accts. She’s been really busy with stuff too. Thanks for all your support though. Love you guys!
