Quite a bit has changed for Futura in the past 80 years: new fonts, new hospital equipment, new…haircut?

In today’s update, Times New Roman makes that Comic Sans joke everyone was asking for, so don’t say I never did anything for you! My personal nickname for this page is just Times New Roman Lies And Berates People On The Telephone.

The League of Fonts is where typefaces are born. Every time a font is created in the world, it manifests as a living, breathing, Font – human for all intents and purposes, but unable to age or die unless their typeface falls into disuse. Times New Roman is the League’s powerful CEO, and he’s got a lot on his plate lately. He’s confident he can keep everything under control…but what’s an old font to do when a young boy named Louis Pepping accidentally stumbles onto the secrets of the League?
In today’s update, Louis continues to be terrible at public speaking…poor thing!

In today’s update… Louis continues his shitty day at school. Everyone hates public speaking, but he PARTICULARLY hates it.

In today’s update, we zoom from the 1930s to the present day, and we get to meet Louis for the first time – on a particularly not-fun day at his school. Read the rest on the website, or catch up if you haven’t read the beginning of League yet!
Read my comic! I don’t draw much else than this nowadays, so sorry to flood this blog with comic updates, haha. But I promise it’s a fun read!
The League of Fonts has started with a 6-page update! Click HERE to read the other four pages and leave a comment if you enjoy it, I always write back to comments and I love chatting with people!
You might know my work from my old webcomic, The Chapel Chronicles, which started in 2011 and ran for four years! Well, now I’m drawing “The League of Fonts” as a new weekly webcomic. It’s kicking off today with a 6-page update that introduces a bit of the world and characters. I’ve worked really hard on this and I hope you like it!!
Please reblog this if you enjoyed it, it helps spread the comic!!!
Go read my new comic!!! 💚
Coming on January 20th: “The League of Fonts”!!! Beginning this Wednesday with a 6-page inaugural update!!! From me, the same kiddo who made the comic The Chapel Chronicles.
What’s it about? Well, the League of Fonts is where typefaces are born. Every time a font is created in the world, it manifests as a living, breathing, Font – human for all intents and purposes, but unable to age or die unless their typeface falls into disuse. They live together on the League of Fonts, which serves as a secret island hub, bustling corporation, and home. It’s a world full of its own internal intrigues like any office, and Times New Roman is its powerful CEO. He’s got a lot on his plate lately: planning the League’s famous Decennial party, struggling with modern technology, and hiding his embarrassing addiction to the Twilight movies. Times New Roman is confident he can keep everything under control…but what’s an old font to do when a young boy named Louis Pepping accidentally stumbles onto the secrets of the League?
Find out every Wednesday!!! Follow this blog for update posts, bonus comics, etc. Really good if you’re bad at remembering to check for new stuff on comic websites, but you’re constantly on tumblr!
I’m starting a new webcomic after 4 years of drawing my old one!!! I’m so excited - I hope you’ll read it!
L’ordre de la mouche // i'm obsessed with history and when i found out ladies in 17th century france used to apply fake moles to their faces in an elaborate “mole code,” i had to make a short comic inspired by it. i drew/wrote this last summer at a marathon pace over about 1.5 weeks, and colored it up to package it as a minicomic now! this will be available at SPX 2015 in a set with two other minis!!
i haven’t posted in forever because i’ve been working on a SUPER EXCITING big new comics project!!!!! here’s a sneak peek of some establishing shot panels from the first chapter. GET HYPE
Hi! Starting in September I'll be attending the School of Visual Arts in NYC as a cartooning major! i'm super excited about it yeah!!!!!!!! yeah

I loved the Engine Ghost, but I didn't really understand the end of it! What was the apple? Is Elliot cursed? Will you do more stories about these characters?
Hi! Engine Ghost is meant to be pretty oblique, so I kind of expected some people might not get it. Eliott IS cursed, yes…on page 4 the purple-hat-girl explains that she thinks the engine-ghost is actually a person who’s enchanted, and that’s exactly what’s happened to Eliott. We don’t know why or how, but there it is — he’s enchanted.
The apple is just a symbolic element. On the first page, fourth panel, there’s a painting behind Imogen’s head. It’s actually the real-life painting "Eve Tempted By The Serpent" by William Blake. The serpentine design of the engine-ghost and Imogen’s apple (and general reddish color scheme) are deliberate references to the same biblical imagery we see in the painting.
I don’t currently plan to do more stories about these characters, but who knows! Maybe someday it’d be fun to explore their stories more!
"The Engine-Ghost" - a short comic about city trains, friendship, & questionable magic. This should hopefully be available as a minicomic at MoCCA Fest in April!!!
