Our goal is simple: more shipcest works in the world. They can be short, long, a super rare pair, your first fic, your first fanart doodle, a trope you've done again and again... We want it all. Don't be afraid to try something new!

I want to thank everyone for following on here and it makes me so happy to see so many familiar URLs in contact again!!

I wanted to update everyone. I am currently posting on shipcestuous2.wordpress.com whenever I come across anything that’s truly worth mentioning. Feel free to comment on there about whatever even if it’s off-topic, or you can @ me on the discord, which I check regularly. Or you can still send asks and messages to me on here, but I won’t be posting anything publicly for now. 

I have sent another round of emails to tumblr. I felt a renewed optimism when I learned that tumblr had a support phone number, but I have called numerous times over the past few weeks and only ever encountered a recorded message saying no one is available. So unfortunately that turned out to be a bust. They have support on twitter and I can always try emailing support from a different email or claiming I have a different problem, to see if that gets through to anyone. So I’m not entirely out of options but at this point it’s not looking good at all.

Are you ready for CESTEMBER 2025!?!?

Cestember is a month-long multifandom incest event with daily prompts hosted by Macrocest in September.

This is our second year hosting this event and we are even more excited than last year because of all our new friends!! (Though we are still really proud of last year's prompts and works!)

For this year we have our daily prompts of course; but, we want to change things up a little bit each year to keep it interesting, so this year instead of suggested pairings we have suggested characters. For example, week one, day three we have the suggested character “big sister” and the prompt “Doppelgänger,” so you might write a fic that involves two Elsas—to Anna’s amazement—or, two Annas—to Elsa’s horror. The suggested character could be a large or small part of the scene, it’s up to you.

Remember these are suggestions, not requirements. Feel free to ignore them completely. They are merely to inspire you to branch out and try a new pairing or possibly return to an old favorite. Our AO3 Collection is up-to-date and has tons of new FAQs that might be helpful to you! For example, we specifically state that you do not need to post your work on AO3 (or at all!) to participate. And “imagines” (aka nonspecific little brother x big sister Tumblr-type stories) are now explicitly allowed, as well as rpf, reader-insert, and extremely taboo works. These were always allowed but now it says it loud and clear! (Fluff is absolutely allowed too btw!)

Dead Ringers (2023)

Media Type: Television (1 Season)

Genre: Thriller, horror (Based on a Cronenberg film)

Relationship: Twin sisters

Canon: Yes

Mutual: Possibly not reciprocated sexually, however emotionally yes

Logline (that I made up): Twin gynecologists Beverly and Elliot have very different personalities but are each others whole world, but that world is shaken by a new relationship as well as their different ideas of just how to improve the lives of women.

The show is dark, shocking, funny, and sensual, with magnetic mis en scene and cinematography for the film nerds. I personally enjoyed it very much and expect to rewatch it over time. Keep in mind though, there is graphic depictions of birth, c sections, and miscarriage. Longer summary under the cut.

Elliot and Beverly are deeply enmeshed, while distant from much of the world they are extremely close to one another. Beverly wants to have a baby despite difficulties with fertility, Elliot is committed, and entirely too pleased to helping get her baby sister pregnant. Elliot is bold and brash, she wants to be on the cutting edge of science, whereas Beverly is precise and reserved, and wants to build a birthing center that places empathy and women's autonomy first. Differences they comfortably overlook and live around until a new relationship comes into Beverly's life, one she is unwilling to share. Between that and having to navigate the morally fraught politics of accepting funding for the birthing center, the pair become increasing less grounded in their relationships to themselves and one another.

Though a gender swapped adaptation of the 1988 Cronenberg film Dead Ringers, it is a completely female driven show. Both sisters are interested in women, one being presumably bisexual and the other likely gay. It is a show that sort of walks the line between overt depiction of incest and subtext, but there is definitely a lot of juicy stuff! To share what is truly just the tip of the iceberg, Elliot routinely "Gets" women for her shyer sister, as in will do the flirting to gain a woman's initial interest, then they will swap places and Beverly will sleep with the woman. Not to mention the freak voyeuristic shit Elliot gets into.
