lying on the couch was what your day consisted of. your boyfriend, jerome, was out doing god knows what as you have a relaxing day in.

having jerome valeska as a partner was, to say the least, chaotic. he has random bursts of energy, drastic mood swings, the complete opposite of ocd, and never has a thought of maybe being too loud. he was different, a certain kind that you grew to like.

coming to terms with the fact you were dating a serial killer was hard at first. and even though it still is now, you’ve grown to understand why you stayed with him. jerome confided in you, he treated you like you were a queen; his queen.

he tended to present himself as a dominant, demanding villain in the eyes of civilians in gotham city. but as soon as he gets home to you, everything changes. you were his, and he was yours. that’s always how it’s been, and how it always will be. and he makes sure you know that too.

you look away from your book as you sat on the couch when you hear the door creak open. ginger hair peaks through the crack between, eventually showing the tall man make his way inside. he groans as he kicks his shoes off, not paying attention the way they smack against the legs of the table that sat in front of the door in the small apartment.

jerome ended up moving in with you right away, not that you had a choice. when you woke up one day and looked to your side, the pale man was sleeping next to you with soft snores escaping his lips. how he manages to get past your neighbors, you still don’t know.

“honey, i’m home!” he giggles, imitating a deep voice and throwing his arms out. as a smile curls at the corner of your lips, he walks his way over towards you. your legs were stretched out on the small couch with a blanket draped over you, your once-captivating book now sitting on your chest. he always managed to capture your full attention.

“i’m tired.” he whines and suddenly crawls over you and lays straight across your body. a laugh sounds from your mouth as you try and move the book that was now crushed between both of your chests. tossing it over on the coffee table, it was now forgotten from your mind.

over the minute or two, he accomplished joining you under your blanket. his feet hung out from under it, but he didn’t seem to care. his head rested on your chest as his hands slowly make their way up to your sides. one of your hands moves to his back and rubs it gently, while the other rushes to his hair. the orange strands looked red in the dark lighting, the dim shine of the lightbulb under one lamp on. his hair was soft against your fingers, gently picking out small knots that managed to form over the couple hours he’s been out.

“mommy,” his voice was muffled against your shirt as his grip on the fabric slowly gets tighter. his head moves up slightly to press into your neck, feeling light kisses being pressed on your skin. you lean down and press a kiss to his hair, letting him know that you were listening. he whines quietly, too shy to say it. his hands slowly lift up your shirt, letting his cold fingers graze against your warm skin. goosebumps form as you feel a small smile play on his lips.

“what do you want, j?” your tone was teasing, even though you tried to play it off. you knew exactly what he wanted, he always started the situation the same way each time. he groans, pushing his head into you more. “what do you say?”

“please, mommy.” his tone was whiney, sending shivers down your spine. when jerome was desperate, it always made you feel needy. every time, your hands would immediately attach themselves to him as soon as a certain whine comes out of his pink mouth.

you give him another kiss to his hair and smile gently. “go ahead, baby.” one more rub to his back, before you feel his hands start to take your shirt off. you lift your arms up and take the fabric, throwing it on the floor beside the couch. you didn’t feel the need to wear a bra today, given you stayed inside the whole time and had no plans. jerome was not complaining.

his hand slides up your slide, reaching up to cup your breast. his palm was cold against your skin, immediately making your nipple harden under it. he moved slightly and hovered over the other, before leaning down and taking it in his mouth. his tongue teased around it, as he sucked gently.

this wasn’t irregular for either of you. when jerome had off days or when he’d come home tired, he would always make a beeline for you. he would lie on you, wherever you were, and would silently beg to have you in his mouth. you thought that maybe it was a subconscious thing for him, since he didn’t grow up with love from his family, especially his mother. you hadn’t brought it up to him for obvious reasons and you don’t intend to.

bringing you out of your thoughts when you felt a harsh suck against you, a hiss escapes your lips and you look down at him. the hand that was once in his hair made its way back and pulled on his orange strands. he groaned, vibrating your skin. he takes the hint and pulls away. “‘m sorry, mommy.” he kisses around the swollen bud, trying to soothe it.

you reassure him that it was okay, taking away the grip you had on his hair and brushing your fingers through it. he takes it as a green light as he moves over to the other and releases his hold on it. as his lips wrap around the opposite one, his other hand holds your now swollen breast in his hand.

as minutes pass, your hand never stops touching his hair. the night grows later as the dark sky peers inside, making jerome more tired. his eyes start to flutter close, his lips still on you. this was how every night ended when this happened.

pressing one last kiss to his head, you lean back and close your eyes. trying to come to terms with the fact you had a psychotic serial killer on your chest never crossed your mind as light snores escape him. his forehead rested on your collarbone as his body relaxes against you, putting his full weight on top of you. your hand starts to slow down as sleep consumes you as well.

you loved nights like these.
