Iām só surprised that both Torrey and Yaya are leaving Med. It just shows how weak the writing for both characters have been.
I know! I was floored for about 2 seconds and then I realized that it was for the best. They have written both of them so poorly for so long.
Natalie had so much promise but they never stopped writing her as a doctor who always needed a consult and she was always working with another male doctor, I know they used that as a plot point to drive the story but it really hurt her character and had so many sexist overtones. What happened to Natalie playing on the roof? What else were Natalie's hobbies or ambitions? In 6 seasons we don't really know and that's awful.
I hope Torrey gets back to what she's good at. Playing a villain. I know she's got this movie coming up,, but I love Torrey when plays the bad girl.
April's characterization went to shit the minute she got bumped as a lead and became a supporting character. I caught the not so subtle shade at her posting the original poster for Chicago Med...at least I saw that lol.
I will give Yaya props, she went to a lot of networking events and did projects between Med so I bet her getting this show was very much planned.
