On the morning of November 28th, 1994, serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer left his cell to clean the showers of the prison gym with two other inmates, Jesse Anderson and Christopher Scarver. The guards left them unshackled and unattended. Christopher, a 25-year-old convicted murderer, had retrieved a mop and was filling a bucket with water when he was poked in the back. When he turned around, both Jeffrey and Jesse were both laughing under their breaths, and he couldn’t tell which one did it. Christopher, who was repulsed by the cannibal, had kept a newspaper article in his pocket detailing the ways Jeffrey Dahmer killed and dismembered all his victims. Once the trio split up, Christopher followed Jeffrey toward a staff locker room. He picked up a metal bar from the weight room and confronted Jeffrey with the newspaper article, asking if he did those things. Jeffrey, looking shocked, responded yes. Christopher blocked Jeffrey as he was looking for an exit and struck his head repeatedly with the bar, crushing his skull. According to Christopher, Jeffrey didn’t make a single noise during the attack. He then went to the inmate locker where Jesse Anderson was and kill him as well. Immediately after the attacks, Christopher returned to his cell and told a prison guard, ‘’God told me to do it. Jesse Anderson and Jeffrey Dahmer are dead.’’
