The Prodigy Master Post

Welcome to the official post full of all the basic information for my original story The Prodigy.  This story is a medieval fantasy. The story has two arcs, a prequel (Eclipse) and a spin off (Wosaria) All are work in progresses.

BACKSTORY OF THE WORLD

       A nuclear fallout is what kick started the death of our planet and about seven deadly nukes hit the earth. The world is thousands of years into the future. All sense of time is lost and all of our history is mixed into the dirt. Radiation still lingers in the air and it has made so many changes to the planter, it’s no longer what we used to know. The grass and trees are back, even the animals came back but they weren’t all the same. Nobody knows how because the knowledge got lost along it’s way but somehow, the human population went from a questionable zero to way more than zero. Castles and villages rose up. It was almost like we were thrown into the past, not the future. All knowledge of the old world was lost and the only thing that still hinted at our existence was lingering landmarks and buildings. They were all rubble and ruins now but it was a better hint than none.

BACKSTORY OF THE STORY

       Six people and a wolf form a crew of unlikely friends. They almost all had something in common, they were running from something. Weather it be their past, themselves, the law or responsibility, it was all the same at the end of the day. Their friendship grew as they traveled around and took on small hunting jobs to be able to get their pay. Their journey takes a sharp turn when the rumors started. A dark force roamed theirs lands. It had never been seen by a large group of people, always small encounters. No sigils were ever spotted therefor no kingdoms were to blame. The crew got curious over time and started to investigate. And that's when they encountered them, the shadow humans.

CHARACTER PROFILE 004

NAME: Zephyr No last name.  Possibly 19 | Male TRAITS: Silent, Gullible, Kind, Curious, Loving, Respectful, Calm, Patient, Observant  FEARS: Being alone, heights BACKSTORY: Deep in the woods on the west side of the world, their was a pack of wolves. They howled at the moon, ran along the side of the mountains and through the woods. They were as normal as can be, besides one member of the pack. A possibly human boy was apart of their pack. The boy looked human besides his pure white hair, his white eyes and beyond pale skin. Which isn't that odd but considering nobody knew how or where he came from, it gave a weird impression that he might not be 100% human. The wolves didn't care what he was though. They found him when he was a baby and began to take care of him. He seemed to connect with wolves more and more as he grew older. He wasn't just a naked boy running on all fours through the woods. He wore rags and barely spoke the common tongue. The wolves actually tried to raise him as a human but let’s be fair, they were wolves. Which just resulted in a very odd boy.

CHARACTER PROFILE 006

NAME: Evren Morrow 24 | Male TRAITS: Confident, Enthusiastic, Charismatic, Affability, Valiant, Dramatic, Self-Mastery, Circumspect, Tough FEARS: Dying

BACKSTORY:  The Morrow's were a rich family, their name alone held enormous amounts of respect because all the men in the family were knights in the nearby kingdom. Evren Morrow grew up training to be a knight, when he was 17 he enrolled in the army. He went through a rough training course for 3 years. Evren was always excited to be a knight. He loved every second of training from befriending his fellow soldiers to practicing telling stories of war. He became an official knight when he turned 20. He spent two years, patrolling the streets, flirting with women, stopping small crimes. He was 22 when the war broke out. Evren, ready as ever, was almost excited about the news until he heard he was to be sent out to the front lines. He didn't like to admit that it scared him just a bit. That day on the battlefield was something that changed Evren forever. The death of his friends, the amount of blood everywhere, the screams. No amount of training would have prepared him for that. Evren stumbled out of that bloodbath and ran. When his superiors heard about this, they banished him from the army, labeling him as a criminal for abandoning his comrades to die. Evren ran, once more, away from his home, away from the army that were looking to lock him up, away from his family, away from everything he knew.

CHARACTER PROFILE 003

NAME: Felicity “Flick” Royce  16 | Female TRAITS: Attentive, Creative, Diligent, Energetic, Talkative, Stubborn, Hard-Working, Imaginative, Artful, Sarcastic  FEARS: Never being important to someone, Never being loved/cherished, Spiders

BACKSTORY: The Royce family was always huge, so many children, aunts, uncles and cousins. Their house wasn't small but it always felt small with the amount of people running around and the craziness. Felicity was the youngest in her family and had a small room that she shared with her two older sisters. Felicity felt invisible to her own family. She was incredibly smart and a fast learner for alchemy but never got any amount of praise from her parents, or uncles, or aunts, or anybody really. She wondered if her parents knew she existed or had they forgotten? She obviously didn't matter to them and that caused her to slowly not care about them either. One night was filled with overwhelming sadness of being forgotten and unloved. Bags were packed and no goodbyes were said as Felicity left her home.

CHARACTER PROFILE 002

NAME: Eko Ace A name he picked for himself since he was never given one as a child.  22 | Male 

TRAITS: Dispassionate, Independent, Selfish, Dishonest, Charismatic, Blunt, Pessimistic, Aloof, Deceptive, Sarcastic FEARS: Losing his friends weather it be by death or they abandon him, Dying alone

BACKSTORY: A young boy with odd yellow eyes, pointy ears and grey skin was dropped off at an orphanage days after he was born. The orphanage took him in and raised him. However by his odd looks, he was treated poorly. The kid would sometimes scare away soon to be parents and with those results the orphanage kicked him out. The boy wandered the streets, poor and hungry. He begged people for food and desperately awaited the day someone would see him as he was, a child in need. However, that day never came. His different looks caused people to turn their heads away and leave him on his knees. As time went on, the young boy forgot about begging and began stealing. He learned over time he was what was properly named “dark elf”. Elves were always made royalty and were perfect. Dark elves were the imperfect version of an elf. Nobody referred to him as a dark elf though, they used different names such as “Evil elf”, “Monster”, “Abomination”, and plenty other hurtful things. He took pride in being a dark elf but knew deep down, nobody cared he took pride in it. They still saw him as a monster.

CHARACTER PROFILE 001 NAME: Huxliegh Percival “Percy” Sterling Huxliegh is the name of his grandfather however he rarely ever is called that. Everyone refers to him by his middle name, Percival. 19 | Male

TRAITS: Affability, Friendly, Hopeful, Humble, Naive, Supportive, Optimistic, Adventurous, Encouraging FEARS: Being unhappy forever, Never living life to the fullest, claustrophobic

BACKSTORY: Percival suffered from some very serious depression while he lived in the royal Sterling castle. For 18 years he felt trapped behind the white brick walls. He read to escape the life he lived, it helped until he ran out of books to read. He thought his whole life would be doing the same thing over and over again. The fear, sadness and anger completely swallowed him. One day, something sparked in the young boys heart, the will to make himself happy.  He escaped the castle he lived in since he was born and fled far far away.  Percival’s We Heart It collection > click here! <
