Much needed deload this week. At the end of my last program cycle I started having some weird pain next to my tail bone that I’m thinking is sciatica. So just gonna do accessory and core work this week.

235#x1 on the left and 245#x0 on the right lol. Squats are the most mentally challenging lift for me, so even though I failed 245, I’m glad I at least attempted it. This was afer 205x7 amrap. Soon 250# will be mineeeee.

Getting bulky isn’t a bad thing. I feel like there are so many super lean people who post pictures of themselves and caption them “Look at me, lifting didn’t make me bulky and manly at all :)”. All bodies are not the same. Some gals out there are gonna look bulkier than others. And that’s fine. It’s not something that needs to be avoided at all cost, and I hate that it’s often treated like that. Lift those weights, flaunt your strength, and crush a bunch of egos with your boulder shoulders while you’re at it.

Holy shittttt I hit 180x13 BELTLESS today! And then I failed a squat for the first time on my 14th rep which was exciting tbh haha. Followed by 195x5 and 205x3 joker sets and by the 205 set the fatigue in my quads was setting in. I’m starting the 5/3/1 more squatting template so I probably should not have gone THAT all out the first day since I have 4 more days of squats to do but holy crap I’m just really happy 😁
Update on my lifts and whatnot. After a series of minor persisting injuries between my 260 pull last December and now, I finally PRd my deadlift at a nice 265# pull. Squat is at 240# and bench I hit 125# with more in the tank. This week starts 5/3/1 more squatting program, as I’ve found I benefit a lot from high frequency squats. I’m excited to get this started and see what happens.
