I always hc'd Budwin to be more of a washed-up star type (he was popular in the past but now no one remembers him) and I could see him being an ex-model, so Chuck and him met through one mutual job

Budwin isn't the most... Standup man personality wise too, he's kinda a lazy, little narcissistic guy, and he def leeches off of Chuck a little money and emotionally-wise (he party does this knowingly since he doesn't get a job himself, but he does love Chuck)

Mindy sees right through Budwin's bullshit and the fact that Budwin's nose is broken was probably caused by her

Chuck still loves him though, Budwin just gives him calmness and comfort in his modeling job (where I feel he'd need it the most) so they have a sort of half secret on-again off again relationship
