BEING A FINANCIALLY RESPONSIBLE ADULT IS HARD.

In all honesty, it's been 3 weeks since I moved away and started living by myself (with 3 roommates) in college. Let me tell it has been a struggle learning how to stay financially stable.
My first week I already wasted a lot of money MAINLY because I was an impulsive buyer which I DEEPLY REGRET. Now I'm extra careful with saving my money, I don't even really eat breakfast anymore I just go for brunch which someone told me is really bad for my health. ALSO BUYING SHIT FOR SCHOOL LIKE DEPARTMENT SHIRTS ARE SO LAME AND THEY LOOK UGLY TOO. Department shirts are not really required but you'll look dumb when attending an important class thing and all you're wearing is a band tee with black jeans.
Me and my roommates went grocery shopping yesterday and damn we really felt that college life, little to no money and buying the cheapest stuff we need (and with rising inflation here in my country makes things suck even more). It was tempting to buy snacks but I had to restrain myself. We don't have a vehicle so we had to take public transportation and walk all the way to the place where we usually grocery shop at and even then we were left with only a few more money left to survive this week.
I get my money from my parents who give me a monthly allowance, SUPPOSED TO BE A MONTHLY ALLOWANCE but since I essentially went broke my first week here they obviously got mad at me for it. I don't like asking for help and when they found out I wasted money and essentially went broke they decided to not give me that much money at once. Now they're gonna send my money next month now and I have to do with what I can with the remaining money they gave me (fair enough). My parents are nice people luckily but I'm still afraid of asking them for help.
So, lesson of the story? DON'T FUCKING SPEND YOUR MONEY IMMEDIATELY, EVEN IF YOU ARE RICH OR SOMETHING
