Personality test reflection!
LOOKING AT THE FUTURE AND LOOKING WHERE I’D LIKE TO BE!
REFLECTION OF THE DESIGN PROCESS:
I feel though as a young designer; I have learnt a lot this term. I started looking at the design process as way too structured at the beginning of the year, I now see it as a flexible guide to the framework of ones design.
I have not only improved in my productivity of my work this term due to the design process but I have started to enjoy it way more... I say that all of this is because of the open mind that has been taught to me this term.
The Design Process Methodologies really enables you to grow as a designer and for that I am grateful.
MY PERSONAL GUIDE TO DESIGN:
Above is a list of 10 “commandments” that I adhere to when decision making is relevant. As much as being a designer is hands on, I must admit that they are multiple ways that your exterior attitude can make you seem less then.
All points named above stand to guide my decision making as a young designer, I feel that they are strong and relevant and have aided me to work with others and etc.
TACKLING PROCRASTINATION STATION
As many individuals out there, I have days where I procrastinate badly, keeping as far away from my work as possible. As much as these type of days are normal, one needs to be able to work when required.
Above I have a few things that I do to get back on track when my mind is else where.
COLLABORATION
I did another info graph on the topic, really enjoying the creative process behind making them. This explores the wonders of Collaboration, I tackle 4 main questions while keeping it personal.
[Found that the GIF best fits the idea of a collaborating team facing their problem.]
IS DESIGN THINKING BULLSH*T?
As much as I do not agree with the structure of design thinking, I know that the structured process enables a step by step progress. However as much as this step by step process provides aid it also restricts that of the creative process.
As a young designer, with little experience... I can already understand that the design thinking process is not as structured; it does not flow strategically but flows all over the place. It is loose, messy and ultimately a never ending process.
Looking at my info graph above, one can see that I have not only visibly changed the ‘step - like’ structure of the process but I have also really commented on each stage personally and have responded in such a way as to critique the Design Thinking Process.
The design process is about making mistakes and moving on from them.
