“Insects never hurt me. I love them” Phenomena (1985) dir. Dario Argento
Meet the pink empusa mantis, Empusa pennata, gracefully hidden in Spain’s wild landscapes. With its delicate pink color and leaf like features, it embodies mystery, elegance, and natural beauty, seamlessly blending into its surroundings. Its alien like appearance adds to the wonder of nature’s creation🍃✨

Any thoughts on Junger, if you've read him?
jeasus, what kind of question is that
i agree with him that we shouldn't let ourselves be dominated by the system and that it's interesting to exist outside of it. but there's a lot of influence of his time, place and war conditions in his philosophy. i prefer a latino americano perspective on freedom, yk? freedom in latin america is never about the lone wolf hiding in the woods. it’s about the community, the streets, the party, and surviving the oppression together. also, it’s not just about pretending to follow the rules on the outside like jünger said. it’s about opening up cracks of life, art, music, and cultural hacks to beat the system while living life to the fullest. we really know how to do it well lol
jünger is super intellectual and up in his head, but latin american thought puts the body, passion, the land, and your roots right at the center of being free. if we are not all free, then no one is. if you want to see this vibe, you should definitely read eduardo galeano (uruguayan) and gabriel garcía márquez (colombian). galeano’s 'the book of embraces' or garcía marquez’s 'one hundred years of solitude' is the perfect way to see how community, memory, and magic can completely wreck a cold system. and even more so the fantastic paulo freire, the greatest educator and philosopher for freedom in brazil. he was the author of the beautiful phrase "if education is not liberating, the dream of the oppressed is to become the oppressor"
