Profile: Terra Knightsbane
Name: Terra Knightsbane (テラ・ナイツベイン) CV: Tachibana Rika Dorm: Savanaclaw Year: Second Year Homeland: Sunset Savanna Age: 17 Class: 2-D; Student no.15 Club: Track and Field Best Subject: Alchemy Birthday: 2.22 (Pisces) Gender: Female (usually disguised as a boy) Height: 156cm
Appearance:
Terra has long, black hair with blunt bangs across her forehead and large, black serval ears on the top of her head. She has a peachy skin tone, small lips, and a rounded nose. Unlike the other buff students that are common in Savanaclaw, her physical build is on the slim, athletic side and she’s rather petite. She has narrow, sharp feline-looking eyes that are a bright yellow shade. While disguised as a boy, her appearance remains rather similar for the most part, but her hair is shorter and her more feminine features are hidden due to the potion she consumes. She has the attributes of a melanistic serval so her legs are strong and can help her jump high, leap long distances, and run at quick speeds. Terra wears the sleeveless black leather jacket with the signature Savanaclaw yellow top and a black halter top underneath. She pairs this with dark gray jean shorts, opaque tights, and combat boots. She wears black, leather gloves as well and has the yellow Savanaclaw bandana tied around her thigh. She also wears a black choker around her neck and the colorful necklace Savanaclaw students wear. As for her school uniform, Terra wears the standard Savanaclaw version of the Night Raven College uniform but ties her necktie into a bow and wears boots with yellow laces.

Personality:
Terra is, overall, a quiet and level-headed person who only speaks up when necessary. She’s the type to think something through before acting. Although she’s rather shy towards strangers, she’s not one to be a doormat either, and can stand up for herself if someone was treating her unfairly. Terra’s reserved nature can make her come off as unapproachable to students who aren’t familiar with her, but she’s actually quite kind and is always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone who needs it. Also, despite her somewhat intimidating appearance, she has a lot of compassion deep within her heart and she knows how to be a good listener. Beneath her “cold” exterior is a gentle warmth that tends to attract people to her, which is why it’s easy for her to make friends with the people around her, even if she isn’t super outgoing.
A textbook introvert, she values her alone time after a long day of classes and social interaction. While not hot tempered, Terra can be overly stubborn about certain things and she can get hissy when she is disturbed during her nap time or when she is low on energy. She has a slightly chaotic side that emerges whenever she’s experimenting with potions. Terra tends to mask her emotions well and hardly reacts to most people teasing or poking fun at her; an exception being Leona, who sometimes manages to make her turn red with enough prodding. She has a bit of a lazy streak at times, especially when it involves subjects she isn’t interested in, but she puts in a decent amount of effort to get good grades in all of her classes so that she can maintain a reputation of being a responsible student.
Backstory:
Terra is originally from Sunset Savanna. Her father, Lucan, is a traveling merchant, her mother, Arista, is a skilled potion maker, and Terra is their only child. While not extremely wealthy, the Knightsbane family lives a comfortable and stable life. Terra’s father was also an alumni at Night Raven College, and was sorted into Octavinelle. However, most of the current staff don’t realize Terra is related to alumni because her father took her mother’s surname after they were married. Before the marriage, her mother used to work as a cook in the royal palace’s kitchens, so ever since Terra was a child, she has heard about all the stories, gossip, and other major happenings within the elusive and exclusive royal family. In particular, she had always been fascinated by the ostracized second prince who can turn everything and everyone into sand.
Terra continued to hear stories about him through her mother long after she left her position to start her career as a potion maker, since she liked to keep in contact with her friends that still worked at the palace. Terra also deeply admired Leona’s strength in magical shift, and often watched the tournaments that were broadcasted on television or online. Over time, as she began to hone her own magical abilities and potion crafting, Terra grew even more determined to enroll into Night Raven College to learn how to strengthen her skills from Leona, and she wasn’t going to let her gender stop her from doing so. When she finally turned 16, she told her parents about her plans, and while her father was understandably hesitant at first, her mother supported her ambitious dreams and crafted a special potion that will disguise her true gender. After applying to Night Raven College and being accepted (with some help from her father’s connections), Terra found herself placed into Savanaclaw by the Dark Mirror, and one step closer to her goal of reaching the infamous Leona Kingscholar.
Unique Magic:
Terra’s unique magic, called “Hermit of the Reeds” (葦の隠者) / “Serval Strike” (サーバル • ストライク), is the ability to create a whip-like weapon out of any natural materials around her. It’s inspired by how servals use their claws and long limbs to swipe at their prey. Depending on the material she utilizes, she can also use this ability like a rope to wrap around opponent’s limbs or neck. Paired with her exceptional jumping abilities, she is especially effective at rapid attacks from long distances. However, her whip weapon can only reach several feet in front of her, and as with all unique magic, frequent usage can cause her magic jewel to be stained with blot.
Savanaclaw Relationships:
Leona Kingscholar
Terra looks up to Leona, not so much for his work ethic, but because of his skills in magic. She wants to learn more magic techniques from him; however, he’s not very keen on putting in effort to be a tutor. Though he does help her out occasionally if she does something for him in exchange. Overall, Terra and Leona have an easygoing, compatible relationship overall and bond quite a bit through naps. Terra develops a crush on him over time, but is too afraid of rejection to confess. He likes teasing her to get a reaction out of her and enjoys seeing her calm facade crack. Leona is one of the few people who know about Terra’s secret, and she trusts him to keep quiet about it.
Ruggie Bucchi
Terra and Ruggie get along well, mostly because they’re both a lot smaller in muscle mass than many of the members in the Savanaclaw dorm. Terra often helps Ruggie out with whatever task was given to him by Leona out of laziness, including laundry or delivering lunch. In special situations, Ruggie can trust her to take over certain duties related to Leona if he wasn’t around to do it himself. She finds him clever and easy to talk to, and they have a solid friendship with each other. Ruggie sees Terra as a worthy companion and nice, calm presence to have around in such a rowdy dormitory.
Jack Howl
Terra and Jack are in the same track and field club so they’re fairly good friends. Jack appreciates that she isn’t overly loud and aggressive and knows when to give him space if necessary. Although she was intimidated by his appearance at first, she eventually comes to view Jack as someone who is loyal and possesses a kind heart. Jack also views Terra as a reliable senpai and asks her for advice to improve his techniques during practice. Terra is always happy to help Jack out and he is willing to do the same for her.
