— olivia, in her tent, heard the sound of glass shatter, and she assumed sumia dropped something glass again. she ran out of her tent, looking for the girl and the pieces broken… nobody there. olivia felt a wave of confusion rush over her.
the pinkette grabbed her own lantern and walked out further, out of the camp grounds. she felt herself be creeped out by the woods, but what if sumia traveled off? she found the shattered glass pieces and she gave them a weird look.
she bent down, inspecting the glass. she saw that a newborn fire was soon burned out. she couldn’t help but be puzzled. she didn’t even notice the other right next to her… olivia couldn’t help but worry.
SHE HID only a few feet away, behind an oak tree big enough to conceal her. quickly, footsteps approached, and she put a hand over her mouth to avoid being seen. soleil did not even know what TIME PERIOD she was in — she didn’t want to mess everything up anymore.
her breathing QUICKENED as the person nearby stayed there, INSPECTING the broken lantern... it was very quiet for a while ; perhaps the other left ? if soleil was QUIET, she could maybe slip away.
one step took her halfway around the tree. another, and another. what she didn’t notice was that INSTEAD of walking AWAY from the person — she was walked nearer. the forest was so DARK and QUIET, you’d think that you were sleeping. soleil was right next to the person when — s n a p ! ! she had stepped on and broken a twig. with nearly NOTHING left to say, her face was flustered when the person turned to see her.
❛ H A — i... am terribly sorry for disturbing you, miss. a crow ( ? perhaps. ) had s t a r t l e d me when i was walking — i broke my lantern because of that. ❜
