I was designing some apology cards, and I just had to use Cane Toads for their grumpy old man faces. The illustrations themselves are watercolour and ink, which I then cut out and glued onto a patterned card.

A lil squishy companion piece to the Lantern Bug! This is a wonderful, pink creature called a Turtle Frog. Google some photos, you shan’t be disappointed!
Watercolour and ink, 5″x7″.
Part I of a little series I made. This Lantern Bug loves you and all your flaws.
5″ x 7″, ink, watercolour, and acrylic.
May we all aspire to be as beautiful and smelly as the Colus hirudinosus.
ink and watercolour, 4″x 6″. 2017 or thereabouts.

Hey all! I have returned after a prolonged hiatus. Like several years hiatus. Making art is hard with depression--who knew! I am trying to find a way to reclaim art for my own self, after many years of creating only for school and craft shows. And while navigating depression, chronic pain, and trauma.
To start with, I’ll post some doodles and bits and pieces that have accumulated over the years! I’ll aim for some posts once a week.
Wish me luck! :)
no worries, im in no hurry :) alright! that sounds great. how should i pay, and what are the sizes for a shirt? (i want the egyptian vulture, the "you are a fabulous thing" one)
HI. Whooo. What do you know, I’m not dead. Work has however, granted me another foster kitten, so who knows, I might poof outta existence due to lack of sleep. Allow me to apologize again for the late (late late late) response.
So Egyptian vulture! Cool birds, great birds, I will totes make a design and put in on a shirt for you for $40 (which would cover the cost of a shirt, making the screen, and mailing it out.) The design itself would measure max. 13″ x 9″ (I have a rectangular frame), which would cover a good bit of space on the torso of the shirt--but I could always make it smaller, if that’s what you’re into. Knowing your shirt size would be handy! As well as preference (like, a t-shirt, or 3/4 length sleeves, or more gendered or unisex kinda deal). I will say, I haven’t had much practice with using registration and multiple screens, so I’d be printing in one colour, but I could always go in with a brush and add more colours by hand, no problem.
OH. and i got a paypal, so if that works for you, then sweet.
Again, super big apologies over here.
The Futakuchi-Onna sold while I was tabling a LGBT+ poetry event last week! There are still plenty of monsters to tempt your tastes, if you’d like to get a cool-looking critter AND support a young trans person in need.
Just want to make a direct donation to this fabulous cause? I’m so glad you asked! Go on over to @omgitsfullofstars‘s GoFundMe account and do that thing. A dollar, ten dollars, or five hundred, it all helps!
might you ever put some of your designs on shirts? particularly the motivational vulture series? just wondering, i love them a lot!
Hey! I might get around to either silkscreening shirts for my Etsy, or maybe starting a RedBubble account or something like that at some point in the future. HOWEVER, I’m not really sure when I’d get around to that--I’m having a bit of a hard time rustling up the right amount of spoons for it. If you personally would like to commission a silkscreen vulture shirt though, I am totally able to do that, no problem.
Sketches and studies for the Selkie and Siren. A number of poses were referenced from my favourite stock photographers Lockstock and SenshiStock.

This friendly turnip is here to warn you of a whole buncha art I’m gonna try to update! I know it’s been few and far between with me keeping up my tumblr updates. Work has really been using up my spoons, but it looks like I’ll have some free time coming up SO! Brace yourselves!
It’s been pretty hectic at my job, so it’s been pretty dead here! In the meanwhile, please enjoy some colouring sheets I was commissioned to make for a local art show. Wanna colour them and show me the results? That would be pretty neat! I’m hoping to see the results of the colouring contest from the show soon. It was fun being able to focus on just the lines, and not worry about shading and light and palette.
references here, here, and here from the lovely folks over at SenshiStock!

Three sales of the 4″ x 6″ illustrations so far, which means a donation of $135 to @omgitsfullofstars! We’re on a roll!
