Ben wasn’t sure what to make of what she said or a long moment, merely nodding before finally speaking up. “I mean that not how tasers nor dicks work, but I gotta say, I admire your conviction. Watch out, Pervs of the world.”

        a pause in her stride,  brown eyes will take him in.  weird;  there’s something  OFF  -  but cindy will just wave it off as her silk sense.  still,  her body is tight,  on guard even as she reaches for a pen out of her purse.     “  here,  ”    she’ll say,  holding it out to him.

For a moment, Ben looked over at her. He then hummed softly with a quirked brow. It was rare for him to see such visual tension in one person, but he decided to dismiss it. His demeanor can’t make everyone around him relax, after all. “Thanks, you’re a lifesaver”he said, shooting her a quick wink as he took the pen, twirling it between his fingers before balancing it on his fingertip for a moment.  He then tilted his head as he looked at her. “Hey, random question, but do I know you from somewhere? I’m getting this weird sense of deja vu or something.”

His small frame slides into a chair, and Peter nearly drops the notebook he had in his arms. He catches it though, placing it down on the table with a smile. The pages full of his own projects. “Of course, uh, here?” He pulls a pen out from his pocket to hand over to his brother. “I don’t know if you wanted one with blue ink or black ink, but the blue is all I’ve got for today.”

Ben chuckled at the sight of his brother, a small grin as he takes the pen, twirling it between his fingers for a moment. “Blue works just fine, Pete. Thanks, this is why you’re my favorite. That, and the genes, but I digress.” as he uncapped the pen, he looked over at Peter’s notebook, suddenly curious. “Workin on some bad-ass Oscorp tech, there? Or you got some cool personal projects in the works?”

Ben had been working on his “stingers” for a few weeks now, and for at least the third time was forced to go back to the drawing board. He was sketching the design yet again in his blueprint journal when his pencil broke. Looking up at a passer-by, Ben offered the other a small grin. “Hey, you think you can do a guy a favor and lend me a pen?”

Ladies and gents, this is Ben Reilly, the generally more beloved clone of Peter Parker

At only 2 and a half years old, this spiderling is fairly rambunctious.

Created by a lesser-known villain of Spider-Man known as the Jackal, Ben was designed specifically to kill Peter.

Though, call it genetic kinship, poor cloning technique, or that the idea that clones have no soul is a lie, however you slice it, after only fighting Spider-Man once, Ben abandoned his mission to kill the spider.

He’ll never admit it out loud, but Peter kicked his ass, and it caused him to start thinking straight.

From there, the two young men bonded, and the clone named himself as a show of solidarity. Ben, after their Uncle Ben, and Reilly, Aunt May’s maiden name.

With some help from Peter, Ben was allowed an identity, with fabricated birth certificates, social security, etc. He even took on an alter-ego, The Scarlet Spider, to assist Peter when he was overwhelmed.

Ben is like Peter in several uncanny ways, as for all intents and purposes he is him, sharing his powers, intellect, and strong sense of morality and responsibility.

One of the few differences between the two is Ben’s lack of tragic experiences Peter has had. As a clone, he possesses memories of these experiences, but they are dissociated, resulting in Ben being a bit more impulsive than his “brother”, and generally less likely to hesitate in his actions.

Ben is currently a student in a community college studying Applied Physics, and is gunning for an internship at Horizon Labs, as he’s been enamored with them since having his suit designed by researchers at the lab.

And lastly and most importantly, Ben is highly protective of Peter. That’s his brother and anyone who messes with his brother, messes with him. He means it, he will throw hands over him.  (ง'̀-'́)ง (ง'̀-'́)ง (ง'̀-'́)ง
