Not particularly. I did enjoy the relative peace and quiet of my apartment though.

Scarlet nodded softly. “Yeah, it is. It gets better though. I promise. It becomes a good memory.” She gave Piper a comforting smile.

“I’ve noticed. If it helps you, then I’m not going to say anything. Everybody has different ways of coping. That’s yours. And it’s actually a pretty healthy way. I should try it sometime,” the blonde mused, trying to get the subject to lighter matters. 

Scarlet watched as the tree leaves rustled in the wind. “Exactly! Camp is our home. They’ll remember us. Which, in my opinion, is better than them staying. Now we know that we had an effect on them.”

“You still have Luz and Jason. I still have Julian. That’s what matters, right?” Scarlet agreed. And it wasn’t a total lie. She did still have Julian. A lot of the time, even when those people were at camp, she really only had Julian. And that was ok with her. She could live her entire life with only having Julian. He was her best friend.

“I hope it’ll get better. Maybe camp’ll get bigger at one point. Maybee we’ll be here to see it.”

“I guess it helps. Sarcasm is good too.” Piper noted, a light laugh coming out. “A few schools before Wilderness School, my nickname was ‘102 pounds of sarcasm’.” She added proudly, sitting up straighter, making a Superman pose before laughing again and regaining her normal posture.

“I’m just hoping that, you know, nothing bad happens to them because of the war and.. yeah.” Her lips pursed, forming an unhappy straight line across her face.

Scarlet nodded, shrugging. "Yeah, it will. Everything gets really quiet before war. Phobos is picking up demigods left and right to try and lower our numbers and raise his. It's actually quite brilliant of him."

Scarlet arched an elegant eyebrow, a mix of surprise and appreciation on her face. "I'm not surprised that you used sarcasm, but... You're only 102 pounds? I would have been sure you're more. Not that your fat, but that's insanely skinny. Although, I may have my conversions wrong," she muttered before looking up at Piper in her Superman position and letting out a laugh.

"N..no. Of course not. The war will be over and they'll all be there with us. Nobody's going to die." Scarlet's voice cracked again, because she knew she was lying. She already knew who was going to die and how. she really hated her power sometimes.
