I thought I'd never say this because I love you all so so much, but it might be best for all of us to take a break from this rp. Maybe over the summer we'll be active again. But for now I'm debating hiatus or deleting. I love you all so effing much, and I want to stay more than anything, but I don't know.

Bonding Time|| Scarlet&Piper
Scarlet nodded, shrugging. “Yeah, it will. Everything gets really quiet before war. Phobos is picking up demigods left and right to try and lower our numbers and raise his. It’s actually quite brilliant of him.”
Scarlet arched an elegant eyebrow, a mix of surprise and appreciation on her face. “I’m not surprised that you used sarcasm, but… You’re only 102 pounds? I would have been sure you’re more. Not that your fat, but that’s insanely skinny. Although, I may have my conversions wrong,” she muttered before looking up at Piper in her Superman position and letting out a laugh.
“N..no. Of course not. The war will be over and they’ll all be there with us. Nobody’s going to die.” Scarlet’s voice cracked again, because she knew she was lying. She already knew who was going to die and how. she really hated her power sometimes.
"I don't like it. It's too quiet. It's been like this before but it's even scarier now because of the war." She listened to Scarlet, nodding again. "It is a good tactic, I have to admit that."
"Yep, 102. The doctor was a bit worried last time I went but I guess it's not much of an issue anymore." Piper was glad she could make Scarlet laugh, it lightened the mood by a lot. She felt like something had been achieved when Piper was able to make someone smile, even if for just a moment.
Piper nudged Scarlet's shoulder, shooting her a reassuring smile, or what she hoped was reassuring. She still couldn't convince herself completely that everything would be okay. "We'll all be fine." Please be convincing.
Bonding Time|| Scarlet&Piper
Scarlet nodded softly. “Yeah, it is. It gets better though. I promise. It becomes a good memory.” She gave Piper a comforting smile.
“I’ve noticed. If it helps you, then I’m not going to say anything. Everybody has different ways of coping. That’s yours. And it’s actually a pretty healthy way. I should try it sometime,” the blonde mused, trying to get the subject to lighter matters.
Scarlet watched as the tree leaves rustled in the wind. “Exactly! Camp is our home. They’ll remember us. Which, in my opinion, is better than them staying. Now we know that we had an effect on them.”
“You still have Luz and Jason. I still have Julian. That’s what matters, right?” Scarlet agreed. And it wasn’t a total lie. She did still have Julian. A lot of the time, even when those people were at camp, she really only had Julian. And that was ok with her. She could live her entire life with only having Julian. He was her best friend.
"I hope it'll get better. Maybe camp'll get bigger at one point. Maybee we'll be here to see it."
"I guess it helps. Sarcasm is good too." Piper noted, a light laugh coming out. "A few schools before Wilderness School, my nickname was '102 pounds of sarcasm'." She added proudly, sitting up straighter, making a Superman pose before laughing again and regaining her normal posture.
"I'm just hoping that, you know, nothing bad happens to them because of the war and.. yeah." Her lips pursed, forming an unhappy straight line across her face.

Bonding Time|| Scarlet&Piper
Scarlet nodded, thinning her lips into a straight line. She understood exactly what Piper meant by putting everybody before yourself. That’s what Scarlet lived by. “That takes a lot of practice, love. Do it in small increments, so it doesn’t all come on at once. And take time to be selfish. It’s not a bad thing to worry about yourself every once and a while. Even when watching somebody you love move on.”
A small laugh escaped Scarlet’s lips as she shook her head affectionately. “Barren wasteland and empty birds nest. Sweetheart, that’s a little overboard, wouldn’t you say? Sure, it’s quiet, but those analogies are suggesting that camp is to be forgotten about. And that’s not the case. They’ll always remember camp. I know they will.
“I guess I hurt because the people who left were the people I was closest to. Rachel, Percy, Annabeth, Rob…” Her voice cracked slightly. “I didn’t think that they would leave.”
"Working on that." Her smile spread to her eyes, watching Scarlet. "Everything now's just a hard hit in the chest."
Piper let a laugh bubble out to match Scarlet's. "Probably. I tend to exaggerate. In a way it's comforting." Her smile faded lightly, but not completely leaving her eyes. "It's like stretching the truth to realize later that the situation might not be so bad."
"I don't think anyone could forget this place. It's acted as home for everyone, I doubt that anyone would be able to erase this from their memories." A tiny sigh left her parted lips as a few birds chirped, bringing the light smile back.
"No one thought they would. But maybe we should focus on who's here rather than who's not." Piper let herself shrug, her jacket drooping mid-shoulder.
Bonding Time|| Scarlet&Piper
Scarlet beamed at her. “See? There’s that beautiful smile I’ve missed. Just focus on him for now. You still have me and Jace and Luz…. and even Julian, in his own weird way. He really does care about camp, he just has an odd way of showing it.”
Scarlet stayed looked around camp, and tried to stop thinking as much as possible. When she thought, she got quiet and went into her own world. It wasn’t a bad thing, so to speak, but Piper didn’t want quiet. Piper didn’t need quiet at the moment. None of them did.
“Yeah, I guess it’s depressing, but it’s also realistic. I don’t know… I keep trying to put a good spin on it, but there’s not a good one that makes both sides happy. On one hand, they’re moving on with their lives and not letting their parentage decide what’s going to happen to them. But that means leaving us. We can think that we’re going to get new friends and people come and go, but we’d be lying.”
Scarlet let out a bitter chuckle, nodding softly. “You should have seen camp before. We had Ivy and Nat and Zel and Alex and so many more people. I should be used to it. I don’t know why it hurts.”
She bumped Scarlet with her shoulder a bit, letting the smile grow absentmindedly. "Its just strange to think that a place like this could go from overflowing with the chatter and the usual buzz to... to this barren wasteland." Piper said, turning her attention back to the empty camp.
"I think it's one of those things where even though it might not be best for you, it is for the others. And sometimes, sometimes you have to learn to put others before yourself even if it hurt in the process." She could feel her voice break slightly, voice clawing at her throat.
Piper almost wished she could care less. She almost wished she could bury her head in a magazine and makeup and lose herself, as Drew could. It seemed like her sister could care less about the loss of demigods, but Piper knew that she cared. Somewhere deep inside her shallow heart, there was a spark. Everyone was upset. And nobody blamed them for it.
"It hurts because... Think of it as a bird's nest. At first, it's almost an overpopulates home. So much energy, so much life everywhere, its wonderful." The smile turned to a bittersweet one as Piper recalled the memory. "Then, one bird leaves. It affects the happiness of the group, dwindling down slightly. Another goes. And another. And another. Until there's only a few remaining."
