Day three, trying to pick up where we left off Sunday. We’re tracking the drums in several shorter sessions, to keep focus. One of the benefits of tracking in your own studio.
Finishing up the last bits wednesday/thursday.
So far very pleased with the production. Only set back was getting the toms right, but after throwing out the Evans G2 and getting some Remo Emperors to replace them, we managed to get them right. I guess I’m a Remo-guy now, even for toms.
The Coles 4038 you see in the pictures are spanking brand new, arrived the same day we set up the drums, and are doing a smashing job as room mics. Cant wait to nuke them through the Distressors!
I’m contemplating doing a quick video on the setup, for the tech-enclined out there. There can never be enough techy studio-reports!
