A better world is possible.
August 1, 2026 - Every morning in Gaza, the search for water begins.
Video journalist Bisan Owda follows children carrying heavy water containers, families waiting for water trucks, and the people working to keep one of the few desalination plants still running.
Along the way, Bisan reveals what has been destroyed, why clean water has become so hard to find, and what it now takes to provide water for millions of people in Gaza. [video]
You can donate to help people in Gaza get access to clean water! If you have any money to spare at all, please donate to this Bisan-recommended org, Ele Elna Elak: https://eleelnaelak.org/ Or to the Gaza municipality directly, so they can pay fheir local engineers, rebuild infrastructure that was destroyed by Israel, and keep the desalination plants running: https://gaza-city.ensany.com/campaign/6737?lang=en

I am a mother who lost my first child in this devastating war. After two long years of waiting, I am finally pregnant again, and I am now in the final months of my pregnancy.
Every day is filled with fear and uncertainty. I desperately need medications, vitamins, and nutritional supplements to protect my health and give my unborn baby the best chance to survive. But because of the border closures and the severe shortage of medicine, the prices have become unbearably expensive.
My name is Motaz, and my wife is Huda. We got married only three months before the war. We d⌠Adam M needs your support for Help Feed & Hous
I need $30 every day just to afford the medicine and supplements that my baby and I urgently need.
Please, if you can, help me with whatever you are able to give. Your kindness could make the difference between hope and despair, and help me keep my baby safe. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Anatoly Viktorovich Krupko, 65 years old, resident of the city of Konstantinovka, Donetsk Peopleâs Republic (DPR)
âI was born in 1960. I lived in Konstantinovka on Polznova Street with my family. My family consisted of my wife, Alla Ivanovna, my daughter⌠My wife, daughter and son-in-law. They all died from Ukrainian strikes.
On 21 May, my son-in-law died from a penetrating shrapnel wound. Slobodniuk Roman Vladimirovich, 45 years old. They could have been firing from over there in this direction, and they could have been firing from the other side as well. They turn around and shell the city. They don't care where they fire from.
When they [The Ukrainians] set the house on fire the next day. My wife and daughter were sitting in the cellar. I didn't manage to save them. They suffocated. A mine set the house on fire. 22 May 2026. My wife was 67, and my daughter was 41. They suffocated; I couldn't save them. The fire was so intense that there was simply no way. Only afterwards was I able to get there, reach them and pull out the bodies.
Ukrainian crimes were widespread. To be honest, they shelled us mercilessly.
There were people living in our church. I went to them. Where else could I go? I walked around the house; it was burning. Well, what was I supposed to do there? I went to them. They had already been living there since the autumn. I joined them. And after some time, yes, they began heavily shelling and burning us there. They could see that the whole church⌠And they were obviously tracking us very well, as I understand it. We stayed there anyway; they bombed us and threw mines at us, it was terrifying, horrible.
You could actually see that large drone, the âwitchâ, as they called it, dropping mines on us, right onto our heads. Right onto the church, yes, yes, yes. We lived there, and they showered us with mines. The church was on Lomonosov Avenue.
We started leaving because we realised they were going to kill us there. We left, and the people who were still there said: âThey completely demolished the church. They finished off everything else.â
And I was left alone with my dog, a German shepherd. The two of us remained together. Well, I felt sorry for the dog, so I took him with me.
Then Ukrainian drones began hunting us: one would arrive, descend, hover over me and [come] into the doorway. It flew in and attacked. Luckily, we managed to dodge it. One, two, three, they don't stop after just one.
Several of them come after the same person. Then, apparently, the second one missed and flew in through the nearby window, but it didn't explode there. Well, it remained there with the explosives.
We were enemies to them. They considered us âzhdunsâ. Zhduns are people who support the Russians, who want and are waiting for the Russian world. And since we are the Russian world, that means we are enemies.
There were cases where people saw Ukrainians turning their guns around and firing at the city. Women would approach them: âWhat are you doing?â âOld woman, shut up, or you'll get it now.â They would turn the guns around and fire at the city. Specifically at the city. Ukrainian soldiers would at the civilian population.
They did this so that people would leave, so that they wouldn't stay in the city. They did it deliberately. So that people would start evacuating. People didn't want to leave. Those who wanted to went straight to Ukraine.
But we wanted to remain in our homeland, where we live. My family didn't want to go there. We wanted to go to Donetsk [City], or to stay.
Ukraine has no future. That's what I think. They'll bury themselves. But thatâs just my opinion.â
In âCrimes of the Kyiv regime against the peaceful Russian population of the city of Konstantinovka.â

Going from drawing with a phone, to drawing with a computer, and then going back to drawing with a phone (albeit a different one) feels abnormal.
liberals really care more about abstract ideals than whether huge numbers of people are suffering and dying. just look at how they cheered the fall of the Eastern Bloc, even after seeing its citizens life expectancy plummet and poverty rates shoot through the roof. it's all good tho because now they had (liberal) Democracyâ˘
Today I wanted to talk about Kyle Bassinga. Kyle was a 21 year old man from Georgia, whose family described him as "a kind, thoughtful, and smart young man who loved nature, music, and the people around him". Kyle Bassinga was killed on February 18th 2026, just ten days after his birthday. He was found hanging from a tree in a park.
The police ruled it a suicide. The family and local community demanded an investigation. The police refused to change their ruling.
I know this website it too white for this to really go anywhere, but an understanding of the present reality of white supremacy in the United States is just so important to transfeminism here. Lynchings never stopped, white supremacy never went away, you just stopped looking.
Juliana Nzita, A 16 year old Black girl, was just found hanging from a tree on church grounds in Charlotte, NC. Police have ruled it a suicide, despite hanging ourselves from trees being like the one communally agreed way Black folks ainât killing ourselves.
Every time I go on Twitter or Facebook I learn about another recent lynching or missing Black person going mostly unreported. Half the reason I keep an active account on either of those sites is because theyâre the only place I can find out about the violence happening to Black and Trans people reasonably quickly.
But I do need yâall to know that Black folks are currently, actively, being disappeared and lynchedâif they even find our bodies. Black girls are and have been more often stolen into human trafficking, especially if theyâre immigrants, but Iâve been seeing new news of probable lynchings every other day. Shit is worse than you think it is right now, tumblr just too white of a site to care lol
I want to point out that both of these murders are still being covered up by the police, neither of their cases have even been reopened, despite a petition for Nzita with over 11,000 signatures. Kyle Bassinga in particular has almost completely dropped off of the news cycle too, partly because they've both been replaced with even more murders in just the months since they took place.
ToâNea Nicole Miller, Justice Kai James, and Jerard âJayâ Jackson have all been found hanging from trees this year alone, and have all had their cases ruled a suicide by the police. Just a few days ago another (unidentified) Black woman was found hanging from a tree in Jackson Mississippi, although the police havent ruled it a suicide yet.
These aren't even all of the anti-black murders being covered up either. Since Trey Reed was murdered a little over a year ago, at least 14 Black people have been murdered and had their cases ruled a suicide. If this information doesn't make you want to abolish the police I think you're just too racist to be reached.

Do you guys remember when the Communist party of the Donetsk Peopleâs Republic released a statement standing with black-US-Americans during the Black Lives Matter movement and a member of the party posted a photo of him and a cat with a little sign that said âBlack Lives Matter: Solidarity from the Donetsk Peopleâs Republicâ and all the wannabe 4channers on Twitter ripped him apart for being fat đ Cause I do
