figured that I would go ahead and make this post now but next week ( june 14th! ) I will be moving from Ohio to Florida. He hears how some speak of him, how others speak of Haurchefant and perhaps that’s part of why they got along so well. It’s certainly interesting to think about.

It’s the puppy-like expression when hands slam against his desk and those blue eyes staring him down which breaks him from roaming thoughts. Attempting to battle off the light pink attempting to burn his cheeks, a hand shifts up to rub over his face as if that’d make the blush leave.

Surely the seriousness in what’s ahead of them is something that cannot go unnoticed or neglected. Without her, not a single flower would grow. When had she grown such boldness to speak to him in such manner? Remember how it used to be so long ago. . .when she captivated him, he fell in love with her as she gathered flowers in the light of the sun -- the sun never meant to shine again, on anyone.

How much she had seen with him beside her... how much she wishes he hadn't. But he was barely the broken blade he had once been. Haurchefant was right: he had cobbled together his broken pieces and come back stronger. Alta leaned up, standing on the tips of her toes, and kissed his cheek. "I'm - proud of you, Alphinaud."

          Shooting a direct look up towards the glistening white moon painting the night fallen sky, and though he heard what the others were speaking of, their latest battle run fresh in the back of his mind. No, Arenvald runs fresh. The promise made plays through like a broken record. He knows better, knows that others are truly counting on them to make a difference - after all the growth and teachings, despite his accomplishments. Had it been for naught? The wars, the bloodshed, the lives lost; he wants to hold onto hope but how does one actually do such with so much at risk? So much at stake. Like a thin thread which could be snapped in an instance. How would they overcome this one?

His dueling thoughts are cut short when he suddenly feels something against his cheek and it admittedly takes him an embarrassing amount of time for it to dawn upon him what had happened. The swift kiss to his cheek summons a light flush but it’s quick to fade, from surprise more than anything; it’s her words which tugs at him most though. Had he been worth such praise? Together, they were doing the right thing. . .right?

I’m certain your share is worth far more praise compared to the weight I carried.  “  a pause, seeing the looks of the other Scions and comrades around them, he shakes his head, light laughter shooting the remaining state of mind away for him to deal with during a later time.
