aurora had been at the front counter of chateau de chemise all day and she’s been through her fair share of karens ever since she had first started working here, but this woman was on a whole new level. she had wanted a refund because there had been a wine stain on the blouse that she had bought, but aurora knew well enough that that wasn’t there when she bought it and that she had put the stain on it herself. “we can change it for you if you want, but i can assure you that that stain wasn’t there when it was first in our store.” she reassured the woman as she continued to argue in european hand movements. “can you please move though? you’re holding up the line. i’ll get to you in a minute, i promise.” she replied, wanting to get out of there as quickly as possible, ‘karen’ continuing to yell at her as she walked back over to the counter to help others. “sorry it took us so long to get to you, it’s been a day. what can i help you with?” she asked with her usual forced smile.
her brows raised and she sucked in a sharp breath at the unnecessary rage exuding from the previous customer. “ you handled that a lot better than i would , there’s a reason i don’t work her anymore. “ chantria empathized with a kind smile etched upon her features. it definitely wasn’t a terrible three year run in chateau de chemise , however it didn’t take much to fish out an attitude from her. “ but i’m not here for anything really , you left your wallet at my restaurant -- i was on my way to turn it into the police , but i saw you looked exactly like the woman in the photo. it’s not a bad picture. “ she added that last truthfully. “ i can promise you mine looks like a nightmare. “
