As if shooting a cover wasn’t exciting enough, IDM made a “Behind the Scenes” video of the shoot. I have already watched it at least ten times and it still makes me giddy every time I hit play.

Thank you!!
I cannot thank everyone enough for their kind words over the last few days regarding the IDM cover! Even if I haven’t replied to your message yet, I have read them all and it means so much!
I have been keeping this a secret for months, which has been nearly impossible. A few months ago, I was asked to shoot a cover for Irish Dancing Magazine. I was honestly in shock as I read the email. I don't think I fully believed it until I saw this today.
When I started taking pictures of my friends at awards, I never could have imagined what it would become. Even once my images were starting to gain attention in the dance community, I didn't think I would ever become published, let alone shoot a cover for IDM. It is crazy how life comes full circle. As a little dancer, I used to beg my mom to let me get IDM and cherished each issue I received. I actually still have all of them somewhere at my parents' house. Now I have to anxiously await this issue to arrive and I can guarantee I will be even more excited to see it in my mailbox than when I was a child.
This is so surreal...
My new life goal is to have @scohoonphotography photograph me at a major awards.
Even though I have been doing this for a few years now, posts like this always make my day.

Colleen Falco of Maguire. 10th place in the Senior Ladies A competition. Her reaction to being called on stage for the top 10 was one of my favorites of the entire week.

This year’s nationals were so incredibly exhausting, yet so incredibly rewarding.
I had the opportunity to work as a part of the Shamrock Photo team again and shot all awards on Stage A throughout the week. (I even got to use his AMAZING lighting and cannot believe how much better my photos look.)
I also am working on a special project with IDM and am really excited about it. I can’t say much about it yet, but once they make their announcement, I can share more details!
On top of the photography, I continued to be a part of the Camelia Rose family and could not be more grateful for the opportunities they continue to provide for me.
Five years after my last nationals as a competitive Irish dancer, I am leaving feeling more fulfilled and genuinely happy than I could have ever imagined.
