drawing your favorite pokemon is pawesome !!! but maybe you gotta switch things up sometimes. my Least favorite pokemon...
what is this thing... what do they even do... why are they so grumpy... how did they get a mega evolution... how do you cooperate with this pokemon as a trainer...
capsakid is also a little chuddy dork but i'd be A-OK with not letting them evolve into. That
The Scovillainite has infused Meganium with capsaicin. Meganium’s Mega Sol power gives it a higher chance to burn opponents thanks to the spiciness it gained from Scovillain.
Backstory under the cut (because otherwise it would be unbearably long <3
Karume lives on Route 26 with a large extended family who all take care of the three starters from Kanto and Johto. When she was seven, she attempted to stop a pair of poachers from stealing a shiny Charmander that had wandered too close to the forest at the back of the farm. The two became inseparable due to how they tried to save each other- this Charmander was Midnight. While she has travelled to every region at least once, there are few she travels to a second time as she is needed back at her family's farm. She has older models of Pokedex, an old Pokegear, an old Pokenav, and a Poketch sitting in a drawer somewhere as well as a large box of Rotom Phone cases (some commisioned some mass produced) as well a different Rotie models for the pair of working Rotom to swap between. These two working Rotom switch places between her Rotom Phone and Rotie headset all the time. Her Rotom Phone is mainly for recording battles when she competes as Karume loves playing the matches back again (whether she wins or loses).
Main Team:
Midnight the Charizard was a shiny hatched on Karume's family farm where they breed and raised Cyndaquil and Charmander to keep the species from going extinct and to ship them to the local Professors. Brom the Alpha Luxray was bought off a strange man named Volo while Karume was traveling in the Sinnoh region- and while she was warned about him being an Alpha, she was a bit too cocky about her ability to tame him (she was right tho). Mira the Gardevior was caught early on in Karume's journey through Hoenn after she chased off poachers trying to swipe all the Ralts in the area. Lunar the Umbreon was an Eevee Karume earned from the Kimono Girls after defeating all of them without breaks. New Moon the Lycanroc was the first Pokemon Karume caught during her vacation to Alola before she realized there were 3 different versions of the Pokemon (Midday, Midnight, & Dusk). Dopple the Mimikyu was captured after a lengthy chase through the abandoned Tapu Village because the Pokemon had stolen her old Pokegear.
Jokster Team (Secondary):
Broly the Joltik was a stubborn Joltik Karume caught during her travels in Unova and was a bit of a guinea pig for her first attempts at competitive battling. Queeny the Pheromosa was captured while Karume was exploring the Lairs just above Freezington while she was in Galar. Shade the Raging Bolt was captured after a mass panic from it escaping the Great Crater of Paldea where Karume was the first to try throwing a Pokeball at the "new" creature. Fang the Tyrantrum was revived from a fossil Karume found while she was exploring the various caves around Kalos, he was always a protective snugglebug. Thrasher the Toxtricity was gifted to Karume after she helped the Daycare in Galra's Wild Area with an accidental escape of the Pokemon left in the worker's care- this was the first time she was away from her family's farm where her herding skills were outed (at least in Galar). Snapper the Scovillian was captured in frustration after it- as a Capsakid, tried to bite Karume's ankles while she was taking a picture of the sky line near Lavincia (to the south).
Explorations Team (Minus Midnight ofc):
Angel the Absol was one of two Absol eggs Karume found abandonded while she was travelling in Hoenn, Angel has the Absolite while Vorpal has the Absolite Z. Knottigan the Dragalge was captured during Karume's journey in Kalos was she was trying to get Heart Scales to evolve one of her Pokemon. Snicker the Zoroark was discovered napping in Karume's bag while she was on her way out of Unova, Karume lied and caught him quickly before leaving. Roofus the Arcanine was gifted to her by her father, though as a Growlithe. Caliber the Aegislash was catured on her second trip to Kalos to participate in the Z-A Royale, which was when she obtained the Mega Stones.
Others:
Toki the Spiky Eared Pichu was a rescue during her journey through the Johto region as there were several poachers trying to steal Toki and his friend (the shiny Pichu that eventually belongs to Lyra) whomst Karume had chased off- kind of adopting both of them but Lyra eventually adopted the shiny while Toki stayed with Karume on her family's farm. Vorpal the Absol is the "twin" brother to Angel and a shiny, he tends to take patrols on the farm much more seriously than anyone else- though this has lead to poachers trying to steal him.
Karume had a chance encounter with Latios in while travelling through the Sevii/ Orange Islands which lead to her researching him and trying to befriend/capture him. The one she's after is a bit of a trickster however and already considers himself one of her Pokemon- he just likes his freedom more.
on twitter people pointed out that scovillains two heads are like the happy and sad theater mask things so a third head wouldnt work and growing another head for mega evolution is weird but i didnt think about those things
Everyday, Quill tells me about the adventures she has a field researcher and how cool they are and how amazing it is that they get to see different pokemon and study them everyday. And everyday, I have to remind them of that time they got high after accidently inhaling the gas from a Breloom that got burned from a scovillain, and we had to chase them down with a net to capture them.
*sees Wolfey post on Youtube that he went 11 wins in a row with Scovillain to close out getting #1 in Pokemon Champions*
... I can see why. It WAS on my radar when looking at Megas and abilities, and the ability IMO is VERY powerful, considering it makes attackers burnt. So make a physical attacker hit it? It gets screwed with halved attack. Hell, if you somehow switch it while mega evolved and then switch back into it, predicting an attack from a Pokemon, it could screw the offender with "unintentional" halved attack for the rest of the match. (imagine mega evolving into a Fake Out and the Fake Out user getting burnt... LOL)
Again, I saw the ability when I was looking around the new megas and while some got... REALLY bad abilities (poor Meowstic...) Scovillain's Spicy Spray mega ability DID pique my interest... so I'm glad to see Wolfey noticed it as well hahaha (cause Pikalytics shows it did NOT get picked up much... yet lol watch Wolfey make this Pokemon go up in percentages after he releases the video)
