tongue running loose

words weapon of man

Age grows

friends go

new ones come along

sometimes

i hope

if lucky

chuck yourself a loan, get yourself a new home, stay here for a lifetime

football teams, for them I do cheer, never shall I ever leave here

wrap my skin in the flags I was born in, dear God I do hope I die here

cover me in dirt, on the tombstone you wrote, here lies a man

On the news today I saw a man who had lost his way

they cut him down, extracted his sin, in a modern day crucifixion

and when he died they hung his sins out to dry, nobody came to cry

Guns ablaze, in a New York haze, as you lie in a pool of blood in the hotel patio

Dream you shall not, get or else get shot, for the dreams you dared to spoke

I hear the grass is greener here, who would want to be anywhere else

listen to the songs on the radio, don't stray too far from home

or when they come to cover you in dirt, on your tombstone it will be wrote

when he died, his sins were bestowed, mattered not where do they go

some cried, some laughed, but in the end all were left in divide

they dared to laugh if they knew that path that lied in their destiny

and on his rainbow flower tombstone it read here lays a man

he danced he laughed to not particular path and now his head rolls far far away

And that's that'sust the way it goes if you ever rock the boat

you stray to far from the chosen path and you too will have you day

you better run run run real fast, never look back from where you came

and if your rowboat gets across the river pass to destiny

you better hope no one knows or Charlie Mansons on the way

Travelled plenty afar, romantic you

moved over city limits, from all I'm bound to

all of the rivers, sat to still

all of the oceans, a violent chill

I'm moving over the hill

Upon the misty mountain, the holy man is blue

into his eyes you peer, begging for love to appear

but he sends you out of the valley

Autumn season arrives, the flowers fall heavy from the tree

blossoms blow, into your eyes

no longer can you see

and time alone is your only friend

Hungry bird

all day pecking

all day roaming, eyes wide alert.

Aloofer bum

belly is heavy,

all day moaning, eyes in crescent.

Much to see when belly is empty,

Much to amiss when belly is heavy.

Aging into 30s

possessions growing heavier

flow struggles to move me

the streets of delhi even the grime is ancient a murky brown flare grime covered belly a baby, brown eyed puppy in ancient karma

Back to the city

the stone cold boulders and trees

too silent to bare

Often I read poems

and i wonder,

is it a poem,

or a sentence

with lots of paragraphs.

Airplane breaks the air

Cushioned seats upon heads

The bug

Essence of adventure, where have you gone? Words are few, imagination is small, When and why to come to this hole? Walls covered in hard shelled bugs, void of emotion, forever smug. Fading memories of adventure road. Grim shelled bugs, a comforting company, rub against my skin, ease the fading memories; senseless and numb. Into the wall stares the hard shelled bugs, the wall of imagination of faded rainbows and rising suns, senseless and distracted; attentionless of a setting sun. The senseless bug, ignorant of its grave, slowly, mindlessly, I too am morphing in to one.
