I watched Gato's video on Lawrence's path before she started work on YKMET Lawrence, and it got me thinking about Ren's YKMET rework. Mostly the flashback to Strade's death and how it will now happen.
In BTD2 it's implied the ending where you stab Strade back is the one where he died, but now there's multiple endings in YKMET where he dies, so here's my thoughts on possible changes she'll make.
Option 1: BTD2 canon - Strade died in the same way he was implied to in BTD2, MC managed to stab him in the "Eye for an eye" ending.
YKMET shows he likely died from this, his heart slowing down.
Option 2: "You lead him to bloody freedom" is now canon, Ren killed Strade due to MC attacking him first.
I think this will be canon now. As much as I love the "spectator" aspect of the original, where he just refused to help, I think an ending where Ren felt forced to kill Strade is interesting. He blames himself even though Strade pushed him to do it by reaching for the remote.
Option 3: MC kills Strade on the couch
I doubt this one will be made canon, but its either Ren tries to help Strade but the door is locked, or you kill him whilst Ren sleeps and he isn't aware til later.
Doubt this one will be chosen. Basically Strade died and Ren doesn't explain how, just that it was because of someone he brought home.
