i honestly am at a loss for words right now. Like, we’ve been waiting for this track since NOVEMBER and we all knew it was gonna be fire but this honestly has blown me out of the water. Zayn’s voice is so versatile, he literally can sing anything and everything. And just the lyric content of this song alone is just…it breaks my heart because you can tell he is singing straight from his heart. 

Like you can feel the pain in the song, his frustration at being held back for so long, that his creativity was stifled that who he is, HIS CHARACTER, was shit on and dragged through the mud so many fucking times and he couldn’t do anything about it, that no one would listen to him. This song is a CALL OUT  a huge FUCK YOU to all the assholes that ever doubted him, the ones that turned their backs on him when he needed them. Zayn is letting all of them know that he’s not taking it anymore. He’s going to be who he is and he’s not ever going to apologize for it. 

God, just to see him now, everything he’s doing, the songs that he’s created…it’s just. I’m speechless. I am so so so proud of him and I don’t know how I’m going to handle hearing the rest of the album. Like, i’m just an emotional mess right now i’m sorry I don’t know where this is going anymore

this song really really makes me feel so much

not only bc the lyrics are so heavy and personal but zayn evokes so much emotion when he sings. 

the song gives u this overwhelming feeling of sadness, tiredness/fatigue, but also a slight tinge of change and moving on, a kind of “i’ll show you” 

and if youve been following zayn the past five years, ESP the last year it just makes u think abt his experiences and it feels like someone ripping ur heart out and chewing on it
